After his defeat, Lord Crump reports back to the X-Naut base on the moon where we see the X-Naut forces holding Princess Peach captive. This is where we get our first glimpse of the X-Naut leader, with a bulbous computer brain and a scepter in his hands.
This is Sir Grodus, the mastermind behind the plot to use the treasure map to find the magical crystal stars and use them to open and ancient door and unleash a powerful evil sealed away thousands of years before. Though not as active as his general Crump, Grodus still puts up a fight when Mario and his team come to face him in the end of the game.
As a fighter, Grodus will be slower and less strong offensively than his general. His greatest strength will be in defense, having a personal shield projected by his two X-Yux attendants. His moveset will pull primarily from his main boss battle, though a little from his various minions as well.
