Mario Kart 8 introduced a whole new range of dimension to the Mario Kart series with is new anti-gravity gimmick, allowing the courses to bend and twist and go everywhere they wanted regardless of the laws of physics. Possibly nowhere was this on full display than in the Mario Circuit stage for the game.
All in all, I would leave this one as it appears in Smash currently. A touring stage that moves along the track goes a long way to show off the trippy twists and turns of the course.
