While Comet Observatory is an iconic location in its own right, it’s not the best option for showing off the trippy gravity effects and gimmicks of the Super Mario Galaxy series, which I feel deserve to be represented.
Rather than the somewhat disappointing version currently in Smash, the stage will be set more on two to three different planetoids, with the fighters being able to fight on all sides of each, having to be launched hard enough to get them out of bounds or towards the black hole that would be floating in one section of the stage.
