Reaching the top of the tower in the center of Cappy’s world, Mario and Cappy are greeted by an airship carrying four hillbilly rabbits proclaiming they have been hired by Bowser to arrange his wedding to Princess Peach and collect the things he needs.
These are the Broodals: Topper, Hariet, Rango, and Spewart, Odyssey’s version of the Koopalings in a way. The four will menace Mario and Cappy multiple times across their adventure, taking turns fighting them before coming together in the final level. They also have a mother, Madame Brood, who will fight Mario a few times herself.
In game, the four Broodals will cover the four different color swaps. Like the Koopalings, it would be nice to have their different stats vary depending on which one you play, but if not, then a happy medium between them will do fine. Their moveset will pull from the four’s different battles as well as the battles with Madame Brood as well.
