Another common level theme seen throughout the Mario series is the ice-and-snow theme often seen around the middle of the game. This type of level presents the primary challenge of icy terrain that makes the heroes slip around unable to time their jumps as effectively as they did before.
Like many of our level-theme stages, this will be a medium sized stage with a sloping section in the center. The floor will be icy, making the characters slip around, and a tree will stand to one side, covered in snow that will fall off and bury a fighter if caught under it at the wrong time.
