Having defeated Rawk Hawk and exposed the evil plot of the arena’s manager Grubba, the team return to Rogueport and determine the location of the next Crystal Star to be in the quiet and spooky Twilight Town. They travel there only to find the people in a state of fear, a malicious being in the church tower turning them one by one into pigs every time the church bell rings.
This is Doopliss, a prankster and duplighost capable of changing his appearance to look like someone else, even to the point of matching their abilities. Although he seems to be easy to defeat at first, he ends up secretly switching places with Mario and forcing Mario to team up with the Shadow Siren Vivian to take him down.
As a fighter, he will be the Ditto character of the roster. He will have minimal moves and abilities of his own, and his stats will be lacking. His standard special, however, will be a transformation move that will change him into one of his opponents, allowing him to become a perfect copy of them.
