Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins was one of the first and most popular handheld Mario games and featured the debut of Wario. The plot followed Mario returning him to his personal island and castle, which he has apparently, only to find it has been taken over by an evil doppelganger of himself.
This stage will be set on top of Mario’s Castle in the center of the island, with an HD replication of the island’s various landmarks in the background, such as the Macro Zone and Pumpkin Zone. The Tree Zone will act as a platform to the left of the stage, and the Mario Zone will act as a platform on the opposite side.
