Determined to find Peach and frustrate the X-Nauts’ schemes, Mario and his new Goomba companion Goombella head out on a journey to track down the crystal stars to open the door. They travel to a picturesque Koopa village and defeat a dragon with the help of a friendly Koopa named Koops, and then move on to Boggly Woods, where they find they need someone with control over wind to move forward.
Enter Flurrie, a diva and former actress who lives in a mansion in the woods nearby. Smitten with Mario, she agrees to help, using her powerful breath to blow the obstacles away and let the party move forward. She becomes a regular party member from that point on.
Although most of Mario’s party members in these games will simply be color swaps of their respective species, Flurrie is rather unique being a cloud woman that bears resemblance to certain cloud enemies but never quite a perfect fit. She will have the unique combination of being both heavy and floaty, and her moveset will pull from her own skillset as a party member, with some additions from similar cloud-based enemies.
