Royal Academy

A unique, often forgotten feature of the Mario series is the odd little RPG modes found in the early Mario Tennis and Golf handheld games. Most specifically, the first two handheld tennis games were set at Peach’s Royal Tennis Academy, a huge stone building where prospective tennis players studied and practiced their craft.

This stage would be a recreation of the academy of the games, with the action taking place across the many edifices of the building’s face in a large-sized stage. In one corner of the stage, players will be able to get a glimpse of the mystical lake in the forest behind the school. On occasion, the sky will darken and the fairy that dwells there will rise from the water.
