Super Nintendo World

SUPER NINTENDO WORLD

Super Nintendo World is a theme park created in a joint venture with Universal Studios Japan that opened in 2020 and abruptly had to close down again because 2020. I believe it's back open though now, so . . . So far, the park is entirely Mario-themed, with a large pipe at the park's entrance, a cafe run by Toad, a huge Bowser's Castle attraction with a Mario Kart-based ride inside, another more relaxed Yoshi ride, an area where you can fight Bowser Jr., and special bands you can tap to various elements to earn coins (basically rewards points). As of this minute, another section built around Donkey Kong is currently under construction and will open in 2024. In general, like most parks, I suspect we'll see it expand and grow with time. I would really like to see Legend of Zelda and Pokemon sections eventually.

And that's pretty much it! Here's what we've got so far:

Lego Mario: touch pad, POW blocks, Stone-Eye statue, spinning platforms, balance platforms, Pokey hammer, Koopa shell, seesaw, hammock, Chomp launcher, Fire, Propeller, Cat, Builder, Penguin, Tanooki, Frog, Bee, collapsible tower, cannon

Board Games

Lego Sets

Thanks for reading! And with that, we have covered every single piece of Mario media out there, and I have probably inadvertently made myself one of the leading experts on the Mario series as a result, since I doubt even Miyamoto himself has looked that deeply into all of this stuff, but that concept makes my head hurt, so let's just move on. On Monday, let's do our last character sheet, finalize our rosters, and then we'll talk about moving forward from here.
