When you finally reach the end of your journey through Super Mario Bros. 2, you come to the final boss and are greeted by, not Bowser, but a giant frog spewing bubbles at you, holding a race of fairies hostage in order to seize control of the dream world.
This is Wart, the main villain of the original Doki Doki Panic, and the new main villain of Super Mario Bros. 2. Sadly, Wart will not see life outside of this game, much like many of his minions, not even in the Super Mario Bros. Super Show! or other tertiary material.
In game, true to final boss form, Wart will be heavy and slow with powerful attacks that deal a lot of damage. His moves will pull not only from his own personal boss battle, but also from the world of Subcon itself and all the various minions in it. He is their boss after all.
