Finally reaching the end of World 1 and having fought many strange and unfamiliar creatures along the way, Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Toad come to their first boss fight: a shades-wearing mouse who stands on a platform and throws bombs at his opponents.
This is Mouser. Although he himself will not go on to see much life outside of his original game, the common enemy Little Mouser will take heavy inspiration from his appearance. He will also play a prominent role in the Super Mario Bros. Super Show!, acting as the primary henchman of King Koopa with a heavy German accent.
In game, Mouser will be a bit on the heavier side, though with decent speed. His bombs will be his primary line of attack, but he will also pull heavily from both his appearance in the Super Mario Bros. Super Show! as well as moves used later by the Little Mousers, including Mario’s ally Ms. Mowz.
