Your journey has been long and hard. You have faced eight different worlds, filled with enemies of every shape and size, battled false Bowsers seven different times, only to be told the princess is elsewhere. Finally, you come to the final castle in the final world, take on the real Bowser at long last, and finally step through to find the princess herself waiting for you, waiting to give you a kiss for your efforts.
This is Princess Peach, known as Princess Toadstool for some time in the west. She is the benevolent and kindly ruler of the Mushroom Kingdom, taken hostage by Bowser in an attempt to subjugate the Mushroom People. Although she has a tendency to be kidnapped a lot, she has been shown to be more than capable of fighting her own battles, displaying powerful magic and even fighting alongside Mario and Luigi on numerous adventures, once even taking on Bowser’s forces alone to save her plumber friends.
In game, Peach is light and floaty, able to float for extended periods of time, matching her appearance in Super Mario Bros. 2. Her moveset will make use of her parasol and her heart magic, as well as numerous abilities demonstrated throughout her select playable appearances, be those in sports games or regular adventure games.
