Princess Toadstool is constantly accompanied by her best friend and bodyguard, the animated version of Toad.
Toad throughout the series typically acts as the plucky young sidekick, eager to help but not quite as capable as his heroic comrades, often landing himself in more trouble as a result. That said, he can and often does step up and prove himself as much of a hero as his companions.
As a fighter, he will be a bit heavier than his game counterpart, with equivalent strength and decent speed. He will be able to float with his mushroom hat, which can be removed in this version. His moves will pull from his various moments getting into the action.
