When the brothers get flushed through the pipe and end up in the Mushroom Kingdom, they almost immediately collide with a red-haired princess and her bodyguard being threatened by a large turtle creature covered in spikes.
This is the television version of Princess Peach, referred to almost exclusively by Toadstool. She has fought for years for the freedom of her people from the wicked King Koopa and quickly takes Mario and Luigi on as comrades in her fight. Though she is still captured often, she does take a more active role in their regular fights.
As a fighter, Princess Toadstool will have most of the same attributes as her game counterpart, except with a bit more punch behind her physical attacks, being a bit spunkier in this version. Her moveset will pull from all across the series, anytime she gets into the action.
