Character Sheet: Wild Fairies

WILD FAIRIES

Today, we begin the third (and probably last) big character haul of the Zelda series, assuming the Tingle and CDi games, the remakes, the animated series, and the comics don't add in anything too drastic. Our list covers twenty-eight familiar faces, and they are:

1. Linkle

2. The Youth

3. Wild Zelda

4. Wild Impa

5. Twili Midna

6. Lana

7. Darmani

8. Yunobo

9. Mikau

10. Sidon

11. Teba

12. Riju

13. Hestu

14. Epona

15. Tingle

16. Agitha

17. Purah & Robbie

18. Yves

19. Terrako

20. King Rhoam

21. Wild Fairies

22. Monk Maz Koshia

23. Cia

24. Astor

25. Volga

26. Wizzro

27. Manhandla

28. Sooga

So, Breath of the Wild's fairies are a bit . . . different. I mean, they're still scantily clad giant women who seem to lack any concept of consent, but instead of floating in the air, they are constantly submerged in their fountains, which are giant plants they can move around in. And there's four of them: Cotera, Kayasa, Mija, and Tera. And Age of Calamity gave them a distinctly different moveset from the Great Fairy of Hyrule Warriors, so, they'll be different.

So, right off the bat, they can move around in their pods, switch at will with their fellows, hide inside their pods, pull others into their pods, cause plants to grow, spray out a pink mist, slap and blow kisses, blast out a big heart, and suck things in around it. All four of them can also team up and kiss you together for a big attack. I think we have more than enough.

Here's the moveset I came up with:

Standard B: Blow Kiss

The fairy will blow a gigantic kiss at their opponent as a strong projectile.

Side B: Slap

The fairy will pull back their arm and slap forward hard, striking opponents with her hand and her large arm.

Up B: Pink Mist

To be honest, Smash has a handful of non-upward momentum (inherently) Up Specials, like Yoshi, Ness, and Jigglypuff, and I haven't included many myself (mostly because they feel useless and every other character trains you to treat that as your go-to "save yourself" move, so if you're not paying attention it will screw you over), but I imagine these will be floaty like those three, so maybe we'll have her spew her pink mist, giving her a little boost, but mostly putting fighters caught in the cloud to sleep.

Down B: Pull In

She will grab the nearest fighter and pull them inside of her pod, closing it up as a shield against outside attack, and doing damage to the fighter until they can escape.

Final Smash: Love of the Four Fairies

All four will emerge around a single character and close in, all four coming in for a kiss. The character will be KO'd at the end of the cutscene.

Entrance: The fairy will burst from their pod with a flourish.

Taunts: Up, the fairy will raise her arm and twirl inside her pod. Side, she will lean over and look flirtatiously at her opponent. Down, the fairy will duck down below the water for a second.

Thanks for reading! Next, a rather powerful DLC boss that I didn't know I wanted to fight until I fought him.
