TERRAKO
Today, we begin the third (and probably last) big character haul of the Zelda series, assuming the Tingle and CDi games, the remakes, the animated series, and the comics don't add in anything too drastic. Our list covers twenty-eight familiar faces, and they are:
1. Linkle
2. The Youth
3. Wild Zelda
4. Wild Impa
5. Twili Midna
6. Lana
7. Darmani
8. Yunobo
9. Mikau
10. Sidon
11. Teba
12. Riju
13. Hestu
14. Epona
15. Tingle
16. Agitha
17. Purah & Robbie
18. Yves
19. Terrako
20. King Rhoam
21. Wild Fairies
22. Monk Maz Koshia
23. Cia
24. Astor
25. Volga
26. Wizzro
27. Manhandla
28. Sooga
Today, let's cover Terrako, probably the most important character to the plot of Age of Calamity. Terrako was a robot built by Zelda and her mother back when she was a child, locked away by King Rhoam upon the queen's passing in order to force Zelda to focus more on her magic. When Zelda sent out her plea to save everyone during the calamity, Terrako awakened, and took Zelda's wish upon itself by opening a time portal and traveling back to before and setting events in motion to create a new timeline.
As a fighter, Terrako based most of its moves on the same concept as most of the Ancient Guardians and other Sheikah tech. It could produce an axe and perform a spin attack, open up helicopter blades to fly, aim lasers, carry a shield, and send out energy orbs and pulses. It could also open up time portals, hence the plot of the actual game.
Here's the moveset I came up with:
Standard B: Targeting Laser
Just like its Guardian fellows, Terrako will fire up a laser with a targeting reticle that can be centered on the nearest fighter before blasting.
Side B: Axe Spin
Terrako will produce its blue energy axe and spin it rapidly around itself in a damaging attack.
Up B: Helicopter Blades
Terrako will produce its helicopter blades and take off into the air to float around. The blades will do damage.
Down B: Energy Orbs
The shield works too, I just want to be a little more creative. Terrako will spew blue energy orbs from its top. The orbs will float in the air, creating a stationary hazard for anyone who isn't careful.
Final Smash: Changing the Timeline
Honestly, might be a headache, but the ideal version of this is Terrako opens a portal and goes through it, restoring everything on the stage (including damage and everything) to how it was, say, a minute prior in the match. If not, it can just open a portal, and one of the four descendants will emerge to protect Terrako and beat up the opponent. One's more fun, one's more realistic.
Entrance: It will emerge from a time portal.
Taunts: Up, it will play Zelda's Theme and sway to the music. Side, it will move up and down, beeping and raising its top. Down, it will seem to shut down and go dormant.
Thanks for reading! Next up, King Rhoam as an actual king.
