KING RHOAM
Today, we begin the third (and probably last) big character haul of the Zelda series, assuming the Tingle and CDi games, the remakes, the animated series, and the comics don't add in anything too drastic. Our list covers twenty-eight familiar faces, and they are:
1. Linkle
2. The Youth
3. Wild Zelda
4. Wild Impa
5. Twili Midna
6. Lana
7. Darmani
8. Yunobo
9. Mikau
10. Sidon
11. Teba
12. Riju
13. Hestu
14. Epona
15. Tingle
16. Agitha
17. Purah & Robbie
18. Yves
19. Terrako
20. King Rhoam
21. Wild Fairies
22. Monk Maz Koshia
23. Cia
24. Astor
25. Volga
26. Wizzro
27. Manhandla
28. Sooga
Not to be confused with the old moveset for the character, now known as Old Man Rhoam. This is the King of Hyrule during the Age of Calamity era, the father of Zelda, who would be killed in battle and linger as a spirit to guide Link when he awakens. While Old Man Rhoam focused heavily on a lot of the early game aspects of Breath of the Wild, King Rhoam will pull from his very broadsword-heavy moveset of Age of Calamity.
With said broadsword, he could spin, slash, slam, perform spin attack, stab into the ground, leap into the air with a vertical spin, and create big sweeping cuts with the air alone. Pretty basic and one-note, but we've made movesets like that before. Not everyone is particularly varied in their approach.
Here's the moveset I came up with:
Standard B: Spin Attack
He will spin his broadsword around himself rapidly, similar to Link's own spin attack, but much heavier and more damaging.
Side B: Wind Cut
He will slash his sword through the air so hard, he will send forward huge cuts of air that do additional damage as projectiles.
Up B: Vertical Spin
He will leap into the air, while spinning his broadsword around his body vertically, similar to say Samus's screw attack move, but with a bit more outward range.
Down B: Earth Slam
He will raise his sword and slam it into the ground, creating a small quake and burying those standing too close to him.
Final Smash: Armies of Hyrule
He will call upon the armies that serve him, and an army similar to those you'd be allied with in Hyrule Warriors will rush the stage, attacking everyone in sight, as lasers bombard the stage from turrets.
Entrance: He will appear with ghostly light and touch down.
Taunts: Up, he will stand as if addressing his troops. Side, he will grip his hilt and say he's ready for you. Down, he will pull at his beard and look remorseful.
Thanks for reading! Next up, Breath of the Wild had a . . . unique take on the Great Fairy.
