Character Sheet: Sidon

SIDON

Today, we begin the third (and probably last) big character haul of the Zelda series, assuming the Tingle and CDi games, the remakes, the animated series, and the comics don't add in anything too drastic. Our list covers twenty-eight familiar faces, and they are:

1. Linkle

2. The Youth

3. Wild Zelda

4. Wild Impa

5. Twili Midna

6. Lana

7. Darmani

8. Yunobo

9. Mikau

10. Sidon

11. Teba

12. Riju

13. Hestu

14. Epona

15. Tingle

16. Agitha

17. Purah & Robbie

18. Yves

19. Terrako

20. King Rhoam

21. Wild Fairies

22. Monk Maz Koshia

23. Cia

24. Astor

25. Volga

26. Wizzro

27. Manhandla

28. Sooga

So, today, I ended up getting a nice big open slot of free time just at the right time. Yay. Anyways, today, let's cover Sidon, the crown prince of the Zoras and little brother of Mipha. He befriends you early on as you approach Zora's Domain, and assists you in getting to Vah Ruta and boarding it. Naturally, he got a moveset of his own from Age of Calamity, just like the other successors.

So, among his various moves in the game, he can stun fighters with his charming grin (hmm, actual move or damaging taunt, decisions, decisions), he wields his trident with which he can slash or stab, he can perform a cross slash, send out a pulse of energy, create a vortex, and summon up dolphins and sharks made of water. Also, the "climbing the waterfall and bursting out of it" may as well be his signature move, so we should probably not forget that here. He also goes fishing too.

Here's the moveset I came up with:

Standard B: Cross Slash

He will slash forward with his tridents in an X-shape, slashing opponents hard.

Side B: Water Shark

He will lunge forward as a large shark made entirely of water rises up around him and bites down on anyone in the way.

Up B: Waterfall

He will climb it faster and burst from it higher than anyone else who might have the move.

Down B: Vortex OR Fishing

Either one would work. Vortex would create a vortex of water around him and suck players in, while Fishing would see him cast out a line, snagging opponents or possibly stealing items from them.

Final Smash: Vah Ruta

Just like Yunobo before, Mipha's version of Vah Ruta would have it under her control, whereas Sidon's version will have the beast rise in the background, start spewing torrential rain across the whole stage, and fire off mines and ice blocks like it does when you try to board it.

Entrance: You will hear him call out, and then he will swan dive onto the stage from above.

Taunts: He will perform his signature grin, which will do a slight bit of stunning damage. Side, he will perform some moves with his trident. Down, Mipha's spirit will appear beside him and hug him.

Thanks for reading! Next up, we have Revali's descendant to take care of.
