Handheld systems weren’t the only ones Wario Ware proved to be good at highlighting the features of. When the Wii debuted, the Wario Ware series saw a new entry in Smooth Moves, with microgames built entirely around using and moving around the Wiimote and nunchuck in different ways. A few new developers were brought in to host games around this concept, the first of which being a young Daniel-san-type martial arts student, whose microgames were all about keeping the Wiimote perfectly balanced.
This is Young Cricket, a student of Master Mantis who had traveled with him to Diamond City for training. Most of he and his master’s framing stories in subsequent games would be based around Cricket’s training, with balance remaining a strong part of his microgames.
As a fighter, Young Cricket will be swift and agile, mirroring his martial arts training, though still lacking in some key areas. His moveset will pull from all of his various framing stories as well as his balance-themed microgames.
