Aside from the Wario Ware and Wario Land games, Wario saw another attempted spinoff in the form of Wario: Master of Disguise, which used the Nintendo DS’s touch screen by letting the players draw shapes around Wario, which would turn into costumes that gave him new abilities. The game started out with Wario bored, watching television at home, when he comes across an episode of a show starring a phantom thief who regularly steals powerful treasures from the wealthy.
This phantom thief is Count Cannoli, also known as the Silver Zephyr, the most recent in a long line of phantom thieves. Wario, upon seeing the treasure Cannoli and his family has compiled, builds himself a special device to send him into the fictional world of the TV show and mugs Cannoli of the magic wand he uses in his work. Cannoli then spends the rest of the game chasing after Wario to try and get it back.
As a fighter, Cannoli will be swift and stealthy, befitting of a phantom thief. His moveset will be combined from his own boss fights against Wario, as well as the abilities Wario gains from the wand Goodstyle.
