The Yoshi spinoff series wouldn’t see too much success, at least not like the Donkey Kong Country series, but it would maintain at least a small presence in the makeup of Nintendo on down to the present day. One of their most popular recent games would see Yoshi and his entire world made entirely of yarn and other craft materials.
That game was Yoshi’s Woolly World, and would feature Yoshi in a yarn form. This wasn’t just cosmetic though, as Woolly World would make creative use of the medium, giving Yoshi the ability to unravel enemies and turn them into yarn bundles, which he could then throw to fill up empty slots.
As a fighter, he will be similar to Yoshi but lighter with less power, since his attacks would be made of soft fibers now. His moveset will pull entirely from Yoshi’s Woolly World with a little bit from the sequel Yoshi’s Crafted World.
