Character Sheet: TV Toad

TV TOAD

Now, we have finished the television series, and we have SO many characters to cover, from all across the spectrum. There are a few characters here and there that might get a few upgrades to their movesets, mostly being the Donkey Kong cast (one example, I think Klump should absolutely have a Klaptrap gun now). But, there are so many that are so distinct from their game counterparts, I could only make a brand new slot for them. They are:

Today, let's go over Toad as he appears in Super Mario Bros. Super Show and in Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3, as portrayed consistently by John Stocker, who is still active as a voice actor, though he seems to be slowing down a little. Across the two seasons he appeared, he used the same flowers his companions used, as well as pulling vegetables, surfing, and the P-Wing just like his princess. Some details specific to him though include the snowboard he wished for from Santa Claus, the bike he uses in a Mad Max: Road Warrior parody, the wand he misused to create a giant pipe creature, a plant disguise he used at one point, and his ability to use his mushroom hat as a parachute.

Here's the moveset I came up with:

Standard B: Fire Flower

Same as his three companions, though for him, I could see him making use of the growth into a giant ability, to differentiate from the others.

Side B: Toad Warrior

Based on one of his best focus episodes, he will make use of the bike he used in his Mad Max parody and use it to kick up a cloud of dust.

Up B: Parachute Hat

He will extend his Mushroom hat and let it fill with air, carrying him up into the sky for a short distance.

Down B: Snowboard

Based on the episode where Santa Claus gifts him a snowboard, Toad will hop onto it and spin into the air for a second, using the edges of the board to deal damage.

Final Smash: Pipe Monsters

While the Wizard King of the West will go more into the features of this episode, Toad will at least represent it a little. He will cast a spell with the Wizard King's wand, raising several giant figures made of pipes that will wreak havoc on the stage.

Entrance: Toad will drift down on his parachute hat.

Taunts: Up, he will take off his hat and wave it in the air. Side, he will laugh the way he does (he has a very recognizable one). Down, he will facepalm like Mario just did something stupid.

Thanks for reading! Next up, let's cover Donkey Kong Jr.'s companion Bones Bailey!
