PRINCESS TOADSTOOL
Now, we have finished the television series, and we have SO many characters to cover, from all across the spectrum. There are a few characters here and there that might get a few upgrades to their movesets, mostly being the Donkey Kong cast (one example, I think Klump should absolutely have a Klaptrap gun now). But, there are so many that are so distinct from their game counterparts, I could only make a brand new slot for them. They are:
1. Beezo
2. Flurry
3. Rex
4. Tryclyde
5. TV Mario
6. TV Luigi
7. Tommy Treehugger & Co-MC

Today, let's cover Princess Toadstool as she appears in the Super Mario Bros. Super Show! as portrayed originally by Jeannie Elias and later by Tracey Moore, redheaded instead of the typical blonde of Princess Peach. I chose to use Toadstool for this version of the character as she, unlike her game counterpart, was only ever referred to by that name. As for the voice actors, I guess VAs tend to come and go from roles more often than live actors, so if probably doesn't matter that much, but I'll at least cover the main roles. Both Jeannie and Tracey are still around as far as I can tell, and Jeannie is still working, while Tracey worked up to 2018 at least.
Across the series, she often did a lot of the same stuff the Mario brothers did, or just generally sat back and let them cover it (depending on the plot generally). When she did take action, we saw her use the fire flowers that gave all sorts of powers, sled, pull vegetables from the ground like the game, float, use a wand to shrink people, surf, paraglide, use the P-Wing, and play tennis, among other things. Definitely enough.
Here's the moveset I came up with:
Standard B: Fire Flower
I think we could certainly have her make use of one of the other fire flower powers, and let the brothers mainly use the fireball. I think the brief bout of invincibility may be the best for her.
Side B: Snowmobile
One of my favorite episodes focusing on her specifically was when her grandmother was threatened in a "Little Red Riding Hood" parody. During said episode, she got around on a snowmobile through most of the episode, so I think it would be possible to have her pull that out as a nod to one of her most active episodes.
Up B: P-Wing
She'd make use of the P-Wing, which would attach to her back and carry her off into the sky.
Down B: Tennis
This one will combine two of her abilities: the vegetable and her tennis racquet that she used to play tennis in Super Mario World. She will pull a vegetable from the ground and lob it with her racquet.
Final Smash: Tidal Wave
I remember a distinct episode where she went on vacation to the real world and learned how to surf while she was there. At the end of the episode, she came surfing back to her own world to free her kingdom from Koopa. Pretty much that.
Entrance: Toad would pull her in on a sled.
Taunts: Up, she will raise her hand and wave excitedly. Side, she will laugh like she does at Mario's antics at the end of many episodes. Down, she will cover her mouth and say "Oh, my!"
Thanks for reading! Next up, let's cover Toad as he appears in the series!
