MERVIN THE MAGICIAN
Now, we have finished the television series, and we have SO many characters to cover, from all across the spectrum. There are a few characters here and there that might get a few upgrades to their movesets, mostly being the Donkey Kong cast (one example, I think Klump should absolutely have a Klaptrap gun now). But, there are so many that are so distinct from their game counterparts, I could only make a brand new slot for them. They are:
1. Beezo

Mervin the Magician: teleport, vanish, see the future, golden plunger, plumber's snake
Today, let's move on from Saturday Supercade to the Super Mario Bros. Super Show! First up, we have Mervin the Magician from the episode "King Mario of Cramalot." The episode is a King Arthur parody, with a medieval-themed kingdom called Cramalot having been conquered by King Koopa, with Mervin playing the role of Merlin, guiding the Mario brothers to pull a golden plunger and plumber's snake from a sink of legend. In the episode, we see him make use of a lot of magic, including spells to teleport himself and others, and spells to vanish enemies into non-existence. He can also see the future, and the plunger and plumber's snake are bequeathed to his care at the end of the episode, meaning they can easily be used by him as well.
Here's the moveset I came up with:
Standard B: Golden Plunger
He will wield Excalibur's cousin in the plumbing business as a weapon. I imagine the plunger can be used in many A moves, so this one will just be him shoving it right onto an opponent's face and sticking it there.
Side B: Golden Plumber's Snake
He will lash out with the plumber's snake Luigi wields. The snake will lash like a whip, doing serious damage to those hit by it, and snagging anyone caught at the sweet spot.
Up B: Teleport
Mervin will cast his teleportation spell used frequently in the episode to get himself and the heroes out of trouble. Basically, he will make himself disappear for a moment before reappearing higher.
Down B: Vanishing Spell
This is based on the magic he uses against Koopa's horde of Beezos at the beginning of the episode. Obviously just straight up vanishing characters from the match would be a bit overpowered, so I don't think it would work quite like that, but it could be a teleporting spell cast on someone else, or just a damage dealing spell that causes launch.
Final Smash: Untold Power
Now, the full might of the Golden Plunger is never actually shown in the episode, but greatly hinted at. The biggest thing it is shown to do is disintegrate the wielder's enemies, which we certainly could just use. Or we could get creative with the properties based on the general implications. If nothing else, Mervin could raise it over his head and it would start to glow before blasting his opponents from the stage.
Entrance: He will make himself appear on the stage.
Taunts: Up, he will make himself float. Side, maybe some statement like "Are you a meshugana?" or something to go with his stereotypical Jewish character vibe (if that's not a bit outdated). Down, he will peer into his scrying bowl.
Thanks for reading! Next up is the genie from "Mario's Magic Carpet"!
