Character Sheet: Captain Clump

CAPTAIN CLUMP

Now, we have finished the television series, and we have SO many characters to cover, from all across the spectrum. There are a few characters here and there that might get a few upgrades to their movesets, mostly being the Donkey Kong cast (one example, I think Klump should absolutely have a Klaptrap gun now). Today, let's cover Captain Clump and his parrot Patches from the episode "Pirates of Koopa," a parody on a mix of pirate stories like Treasure Island and Pirates of Penzance. Clump is a pirate captain who hires Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Toad to help man his ship so that he can cross dangerous, Koopa pirate-infested waters. Across the episode, the captain uses a number of pirate-themed moves. For one, he has a gigantic peg leg so big his other foot doesn't reach the ground. He also has a faithful parrot on his shoulder at all times. When fighting Koopa pirates, he tosses barrels, uses a club, and launches projectiles using his ship's own rigging. Just enough I think.

Here's the moveset I came up with:

Standard B: Peg Leg Stomp

Obviously, we must make good use of his single most unique feature. Performing this move will cause the captain to flip up a little into the air and slam back down with his giant peg, burying anyone caught under it.

Side B: Club

He will swing around the club he uses as a weapon at one point, smacking an opponent in the head with it and launching them.

Up B: Patches

His parrot will grab him by the shoulders and carry him upwards. He won't go too far, as he is obviously much bigger than said parrot.

Down B: Barrel Rigging

He will pull back on a line of rigging, on which he has placed a large barrel, and let it go, sending the barrel flying at high speed.

Final Smash: Pirate Ship

A standard easy one for all pirate characters, his ship will appear and open fire upon the stage.

Entrance: He will hop onto the stage on his peg leg.

Taunts: Up, he will raise a sword and say some "Yarr, swabbies" kind of stuff. Side, he will feed Patches a cracker. Down, he will get his peg stuck in a knothole for a second.

Thanks for reading! Next up is the robot Bunsen!
