TOMMY TREEHUGGER & CO-MC
Now, we have finished the television series, and we have SO many characters to cover, from all across the spectrum. There are a few characters here and there that might get a few upgrades to their movesets, mostly being the Donkey Kong cast (one example, I think Klump should absolutely have a Klaptrap gun now). But, there are so many that are so distinct from their game counterparts, I could only make a brand new slot for them. They are:
1. Beezo
2. Flurry
3. Rex
4. Tryclyde

Today, let's cover the hosts of Club Mario, Tommy Treehugger, as played by Chris Coombs, and his best friend Co-MC, played by Michael Anthony Rawlins. Now, there were a few way I could have gone with this. I could have just tossed aside their siblings Eric and Tammy altogether and had these two act as each other's echo fighter, or perhaps I could have had Tammy and Eric act as color swaps for their respective siblings. However, I have decided to go with this version, with Tommy and Co acting as color swaps a la Steve and Alex, and Eric and Tammy doing the same as echoes.
Now, as far as I can tell, Chris and Michael are both still around, though Chris doesn't seem to have acted since 1996. Michael, on the other hand, is still acting, and has enjoyed a strong career in TV. That said, the man he is now is far from the excitable teenager he was back then, and I assume Chris is no different, so any sort of reprisal would likely be complicated. As for movesets, we see the duo roller blade, mess with yo-yos, golf, play with a remote, throw bags of trash, and at one point destroy the set when Tommy breaks the fourth wall and goes on a rant about the studio's treatment of them. If we mix their siblings in, then we can have them knocking people out and tying them up.
Here's the moveset I came up with:
Standard B: Trash Bag
Tommy or Co will toss a large bag of trash at their opponent, which will burst open and create several obstacles around the nearby area.
Side B: Yo-Yo
The duo will mess around with the yo-yos that one of their guests taught them to use, pulling off a trick and striking opponents with them.
Up B: Roller Blade Jump
The duo will glide forward on roller blades suddenly, going off a jump and launching into the air in a spin before coming back down.
Down B: Mini-Golf
Based on the small Mini-Golf pad they have on their rooftop, one of the hosts will line up a shot before striking it and launching it across the stage at high speed.
Final Smash: Princess Centauri
The duo will press a button on their remote and start up a TV in the background. The alien princess Centauri will appear on the screen, waving her finger at the stage as heroes, aliens, and ships from her show "Photon" will cause trouble on the stage.
Entrance: They will hop up off of their couch from the set.
Taunts: Up, the host not on stage will appear next to their friend and the pair will high five. Side, the host will try to figure out how to work his yo-yo. Down, the host will crouch and claim that their opponent is "Bogus!"
Thanks for reading! Next up, let's cover their troublemaking siblings, Evil Eric and Tammy Treehugger!
