As you travel throughout the world of Twilight Princess, your quest eventually takes you up into the icy northern mountains where you encounter a big friendly Yeti living in some ruins with his wife, who has fallen mysteriously ill. You soon discover that a shard of the Mirror of Twilight ended up in their ruins and had twisted the wife's mind with its influence, leading to an intense boss battle against her.

Yeto/Yeta: punch, sled, cannons, stew, rise, icy wind, ice chunks

Though not enough for each individually, between the two of them they have plenty, with each acting as even and odd color swaps. I'm not sure which one goes first, as Yeto is the first you meet and is initially presented as the more prominent of the two, while Yeta is the big boss fight. I prefer Yeta, but it could go either way. Their moves include a mighty punch, sledding down an icy slope, cannons that break ice around their home, a stew Yeto was making to help Yeta get better, freezing winds, ice chunks falling from the ceiling, and a general rising into the air in the middle of battle.

Here's the moveset I came up with:

Side B: Frozen Punch

The Yeti in question will rev up their fist and punch hard, just as Yeto does when he first meets Link.

Side B: Ice Cannon

The ice cannons seen around their home will pop up in front of them, allowing them to shoot off a powerful blast of ice and freeze the target.

Up B: Icy Winds

The Yeti in question will spin like Yeta does and lift into the air, creating a vortex of freezing winds around themselves to freeze anyone too close for a second.

Down B: Stew

They will drink a draft of warming stew to warm them up for a while. This makes them temporarily immune to any other freezing attacks.

Final Smash: Abominable Blizzard

Basically a recreation of Yeta's boss battle, the Yeti in question will put on Yeta's scary face before rising into the air covered in ice, while massive icicles form and drop onto the stage from above.

Entrance: They will slide in on Yeto's sled.

Taunts: Up, the Yeti will spin into the air for a second. Side, their partner will come out, and Yeto will cradle Yeta in his arms, hearts appearing all around them. Down, they will stir a pot of stew for a second.

63.   Ancient Guardian

Now, there's two ways to go here. Strictly speaking, this moveset is an "Ordon Village" general moveset, as many of the early game mechanics of Twilight Princess were enough to make their own moveset, and as such, this moveset could have gone to Ilia, Colin, Beth, Malo, Talo, Rusl, or Mayor Bo. I chose Ilia to be the face of it because she is the most prominent character from Ordon Village. That said, this could just be an Ilia moveset, or it could be a bunch of color swaps with the other six characters mentioned above, and Ilia is simply the first.

Some of the most important features that will be taking up this moveset include the bow and slingshot both used heavily throughout the early game (especially if we include Link's Crossbow Training and its heavy connections to this part of the game), fishing, cuccos, the falcons that can be summoned, Epona as a big old clydesdale, and Mayor Bo's sumo wrestling stances (which he totally taught his daughter, so that's definitely not an issue). I guess we could consider the spirit Ordona for a possible Final Smash, but we'll see.

Here's the moveset I came up with:

Side B: Crossbow

She will point her crossbow at an opponent. A target will appear directly behind them and will shatter upon being hit, damaging anyone close to it for a two-in-one.

Side B: Fishing Rod

She will drop a fishing rod for a second, and have a chance of pulling up one of the game's healing items.

Up B: Falcon

She will summon a falcon that will swoop down, grab her by the shoulders, and carry her upwards.

Down B: Sumo Wrestling

She will stomp and crouch just like her father would. If any character gets too close while she's in the stance, she will grab them and throw them backwards.

Final Smash: Ordona

The spirit Ordona will rise from its pond and give off a wave of light, eradicating all darkness, a.k.a sending all opponents flying.

Entrance: She will be brushing Epona for a second.

Taunts: Up, she will summon a falcon to sit on her arm. Side, she will put her arms behind her back and sway back and forth (kinda like Beth tended to do). Down, she will toss some feed to some Cuccos.

Thanks for reading! Next up, the lovey-dovey Yeti couple from the same game, Yeto and Yeta.

Not to be confused with a certain Potterverse bard, Beedle is an enthusiastic traveling merchant who has cropped up time and time again throughout the Zelda series, often running mobile shops that reflect the game's gimmick. His appearances so far have been in Wind Waker set up in a small submarine, Skyward Sword in a flying shop he powers by his own strength, and in Breath of the Wild carrying around an enormous pack.

Naturally, this variety of shops and the elements that come with them can be utilized in various ways, such as the rope he lowers to let customers climb up and the trapdoor he uses to get rid of those "merely browsing" in Skyward Sword, or simply the sheer size of his Wild pack. On top of that, we have the items he sells, though we should probably mostly stick to those things he specifically sells on a consistent basis.

Here's the moveset I came up with:

Side B: Item Purchase

This is a fun idea that I liked, though if it doesn't work, there are other options. The way I see it working is that he will toss out any item from the game's item pool to just sit on the ground for anyone to pick up. Whoever picks up said item, however, will have to pay a price with their health points, that price depending on the general effectiveness of the item (say, a Mr. Saturn might dock a mere five percent off while something big like the Dragoon would go up to maybe a hundred). Again, don't know what it would take to make it work, but it would fit well with him.

Side B: Giant Pack

His big beetle-sized pack will prove too big for him and he will topple over backwards, smashing anyone caught underneath.

Up B: Ring the Bell

His flying shop will appear over his head and lower its rope down for him to grab onto, carrying him up to the shop's level and letting him stand on it as a platform for a short time.

Down B: Pouch

One of the most common items sold by him specifically. He will grab any projectile sent his way and store it, Villager-style. He will be able to carry a certain amount before running out of room.

Final Smash: Just Browsing

He will get on his stationary bike and run a player through. That player will end up in his shop and he will give them the spiel he gives Link before pulling a cord and dropping them out of a trapdoor, leading to them KOing at the bottom of the stage.

Entrance: He will be sitting at his shop, look up, and say "Oooh!"

Taunts: Up, he will heft his large pack on his back for a second. Side, he will get on his stationary bike and work out for a second. Down, he will sit cross-legged and lay out some of his wares.

Thanks for reading! Next week, we cover Ilia, and to a broader extent, the villagers of Ordon Village.

His real name unknown, the Happy Mask Salesman is a minor NPC in Ocarina of Time that then takes on a more prominent role in Majora's Mask, a seemingly humble merchant of face masks known for his unsettling constant smile. Prior to the events of Majora's Mask, he is accosted in the woods by Skull Kid, who then steals the titular mask he'd been carrying around. I'm of the personal headcanon that he wanted this event to happen and simply allowed himself to be accosted, but the game never confirms anything like that, leaving him at least callous about the fates of the people of Termina, planning to simply leave town prior to the destruction and not do anything to stop it or help the people.

The magical masks that make up the core of the game's gimmick are the sole reason for his inclusion here today, for obvious reasons. Though I should note, the four main transformation masks will not be included in our consideration. The masks range in ability from basic non-offensive abilities to massive buffs in combat, to simple masks that let you get into a certain area. These include masks that draw in fairies, make Cucco chicks follow the wearer, let you pass Garos, Stalchildren, Gibdos, and ReDeads, turn you into a giant, see a person's heart, detect smells, lead frogs in music, and summon a Keaton. I should also mention the song of healing that he teaches to Link, and the vigorous shake he gives to Link in a brief moment of losing his cool. Also part of me wants to include the statue ability Link uses, although I don't think it actually connects to him at all. We'll see.

Here's the moveset I came up with:

Standard B: Shakedown

He will physically grab an opponent and start to shake them, just like he does in-game. It's the only thing he physically does, so I figured it was best to include.

Side B: Song of Healing

He will play the song of healing. Any fighter within range of its effects will be briefly transformed into a mask of their own face. (A fun bonus feature of the game could involved a Mask collection similar to the Trophies and Stickers, giving the player bonus points for collecting the masks of every fighter from a given series).

Up B: Cucco Piper

He will put on the Cucco Mask and start playing the song Link uses to lead the Cucco chicks around, except the chicks will instead grab him by the shoulders and carry him upward while he plays.

Down B: Great Fairy Mask

He will put on the Great Fairy Mask. If he can keep it on long enough, a fairy should arrive and circle around him, healing him of damage.

Final Smash: Giant's Mask

He will put on the Giant's Mask, making him grow to gigantic proportions, lose his constant smile, and start going to town on the other players.

Entrance: He will appear on stage with his constant smile and bow in a friendly manner.

Taunts: Up, he will adjust his large pack on his back. Side, he will put on a random mask from his collection and tilt his head. Down, his smile will turn into a frown for a brief second. (A secret taunt could involve him putting on the mask to see people's hearts, in a sort of Snake or Pit-style secret taunt).

Thanks for reading! Now, a much less morally ambiguous merchant, Beedle!
