The Kokiri were a common race living in Hyrule during the era of Ocarina of Time, who have sadly never really returned the way Gorons, Zoras, Gerudos, and even Ritos and Koroks have. They are friendly forest-dwellers who never grow past the age of childhood, who took Link in as a baby and raised him as one of their own. Among these is Saria, Link's childhood best friend and the sage of the Forest Temple.

For Saria's moveset, we can pull from her and the entire Kokiri race, as well as the forests they call their home. These include Deku Sticks that can be used as weapons and torches, Deku Nuts that can act as projectiles, the slingshot Link started out early with, the Deku beans that create floating platforms years later, and the Great Deku Tree and its baby themselves. I would also like to highlight the Kokiri Mido, a rival of Link who acts as a living barrier to keep him out of certain places. Also, all Kokiri come with their own fairy if we want to mention them too.

Here's the moveset I came up with:

Standard B: Deku Nut

Saria will whip out a slingshot just like Link's and fire a Deku Nut with it, which will disorient the opponent on contact.

Side B: Mido

Saria will summon Mido to stand in front of her and act as a shield. He will linger for a short time, moving with her wherever she goes so that he's always standing in front of her.

Up B: Deku Sprout

The floating leaves that grow from the beans Link plants will appear under Saria's feet and carry her up into the air for a short time.

Down B: Baby Deku Tree

Somewhat based on Lana's move but very much pulled from Ocarina and the Kokiri forest (one of the main reasons I feel Lana's staff moveset should have gone to Saria). She will plant a seed in the ground, which will then pop up as a Baby Deku Tree when walked over, sending a character flying.

Final Smash: The Great Deku Tree

Similar to her Down B, but instead of just a little baby tree, the entire stage will rumble before the full tree bursts out of the ground, sending everyone flying.

Entrance: She will be sitting on the edge of the stage, kicking her feet merrily.

Taunts: Up, her personal fairy will fly around her. Side, she will play Saria's Song on her Ocarina. Down, she will plant something in the ground.

Thanks for reading! Next up, we have a whole week covering sages and champions, starting with the Gorons!
