Character Sheet: U-Ton

U-TON

And now we have a long list of character who appear exclusively within the Metroid comics, manga, and other non-game media. These will all act as a roster on their own, separate from the standard game roster. They are:

1. Joey Apronika

2. Kreatz

3. Mauk

4. Diesel

5. GFS Tyr Crew

6. Armstrong Houston

7. Zegan Doh

8. Bomad

9. U-Ton

10. Papa Lightning

11. Chozo Elders

12. Greed

13. Bishop

14. Knight

15. Dangelo

16. Pirate Boss

17. Amokmaw

18. Integra

19. Megaroid

U-Ton is yet another supporting character who appears in Samus & Joey, a robot designed as a weapon of war. Joey finds him in Diesel's scrapyard and befriends him, doing a whole Iron Giant bit with him. At the same time, Samus is hired to hunt down the machine, being a defective model that was scheduled to be destroyed, but it went haywire and escaped, and if it malfunctions again, it could kill everyone on Junk Quixote. Though Joey tries to defend U-Ton, Samus ultimately has to put it down.

U-Ton has a number of abilities, including laser blasts, sharp claws, and extendable arms to give it more range. It also has an attack called Delta Mirage, where it projects two illusory copies of itself to escape from harm. It also has a nuclear self-destruct mode that will activate if it starts to lose a fight.

Here's the moveset I came up with:

Standard B: Lasers

It will fire off a series of lasers directly ahead of itself.

Side B: Extend-o-Claws

It will extend its long arms forward and slash with its claws.

Up B: Extendable Arms

It will reach its arms up into the air and grab the nearest ledge it can find.

Down B: Delta Mirage

It will project three clones of itself, which will protect it from getting hit by an attack.

Final Smash: Self-Destruct

It will activate its self-destruct, setting off a nuclear blast that destroys everything within range.

Entrance: It will be hunkering in a junk pile.

Taunts: Up, it will switch its face to "happy" mode. Side, it will hold out its hand for a fist bump. Down, its face will turn angry and alarms will sound from it.

Kirby Hat: He will become the dome material of its helmet, with his own face projected on the screen.

Kart: Itself transformed into a kart.

Special Move: It will project three illusions of itself around it, which projectiles will be drawn to.

Spirit Battle: A battle on Junk Quixote, with Joey defending it.

Victory Screen: It will take up a heroic pose, with its face as a smile.

Losing Screen: It's countdown will reach zero, and it will explode.

Color Swaps: I imagined him having whitish armor, so then we have a red version, a black version, a dark blue version, a green version, a pink version, a silver version, and the black-and-white manga version.

Thanks for reading! Next up, Diesel gets himself an echo.
