Character Sheet: Bomad

BOMAD

And now we have a long list of character who appear exclusively within the Metroid comics, manga, and other non-game media. These will all act as a roster on their own, separate from the standard game roster. They are:

1. Joey Apronika

2. Kreatz

3. Mauk

4. Diesel

5. GFS Tyr Crew

6. Armstrong Houston

7. Zegan Doh

8. Bomad

9. U-Ton

10. Papa Lightning

11. Chozo Elders

12. Greed

13. Bishop

14. Knight

15. Dangelo

16. Pirate Boss

17. Amokmaw

18. Integra

19. Megaroid

Now, let's cover Bomad, another supporting bounty hunter in the Samus & Joey series. Bomad is first introduced upon Samus and Joey's first landing at Junk Quixote, entering Diesel's workshop to find it has been taken over by a mob boss named Jealousy, who has hired Bomad as protection against retaliation from Samus. Bomad later shows up to help fight against Greed.

Bomad is fast and strong, attacking with lightning fast punches and kicks at the start of the fight, before launching his gravity bombs. These bombs can lift others off the ground, or himself at one point, or can become singularities that suck in all around it (including Jealousy). Much like Zegan, it's not much, but it's there.

Here's the moveset I came up with:

Standard B: Gravity Bomb

He will fire a weakened gravity bomb from his shoulder, which will strike a player, lift them off the ground, and get them stuck spinning in a small singularity for a while.

Side B: Lightning Punch

He will dash forward, striking hard with a devastating punch.

Up B: Gravity

He will be hit by his own gravity effects and float up into the air for a little while.

Down B: Lightning Kick

He will kick forward at high speed, fast enough to do high damage while knocking the opponent over.

Final Smash: Singularity

He will unleash a fully-powered Gravity Bomb, which will turn into a singularity that will suck in and destroy all fighters on the stage.

Entrance: He will be leaning in the shadows.

Taunts: Up, he will stand and pose for a second. Side, he will adjust his singular eye. Down, he will open and close his shoulder mechanisms.

Kirby Hat: His one-eyed helmet thing.

Kart: A kart based on his armor.

Special Move: He will set off a gravity bomb that will pull all nearby racers into it.

Spirit Battle: A solo battle on Junk Quixote.

Victory Screen: He will stand over a crater and say he may have overdone it a bit.

Losing Screen: He will float off into the sky, crying out for help.

Color Swaps: My brain tells me his suit is multiple colors, so that, then a more red-heavy one, a green one, blue one, yellow one, black one, white one, and a black-and-white version.

Thanks for reading! Next up, Joey gets his own Iron Giant.
