Legend of Zelda Kart Racers

LEGEND OF ZELDA KART RACERS

This is what it might look like if there was a Kart Racing mode in this hypothetical game:

1.       Link: the Epona-based cycle from Mario Kart 8

a.       Special move: throwing sword beams ahead of him

2.       Octorok: a whirlpool from Wind Waker

a.       Special move: firing rocks behind it

3.       Old Man: a kart with the torches from his cave

a.       Special move: gifting items to nearby players

4.       Moblin: a vehicle built for charging, with a spear built onto it

a.       Special move: charging forward with a spear

5.       Armos: a vehicle based on the ancient Lanayru technology of Skyward Sword

a.       Special move: firing a Beamos beam at anyone too close

6.       Great Fairy: a hot tub version of their fountain

a.       Special move: using fairies to recover from damage

7.       Lynel: their own four hooves

a.       Special move: causing lightning to strike the other racers

8.       Stalfos: an undertaker’s carriage

a.       Special move: causing Stalchildren to rise on the track behind them

9.       Goriya: a spinning boomerang-shaped vehicle

a.       Special move: throwing a boomerang at opponents

10.   Vire/Keese: a giant keese

a.       Special move: turning into a keese and flying across the track

11.   Dodongo: rolling on their own

a.       Special move: they will be able to swallow oncoming projectiles

12.   Darknut: an armored tank

a.       Special move: having special armor that will take two hits

13.   Manhandla: a big spinning flower pot

a.       Special move: All four heads lashing out in four different directions

14.   Wizzrobe: a cloud of magic

a.       Special move: teleport forward a certain distance

15.   Gohma: a large cluster of eggs

a.       Special move: leaving behind eggs that will hatch into Skulltulas

16.   Ganon: a cart carried by his minions

a.       Special move: he will turn invisible for a short time except his shadow

17.   Princess Zelda: a royal steed

a.       Special move: she will be able to protect herself with the Triforce

18.   Thunderbird: a Fokkeru statue on wheels

a.       Special move: they will be able to cover their faces, making them temporarily impervious

19.   Dark Link: a shadowy Epona

a.       Special move: he will cast sword beams behind him

20.   Agahnim: a royal carriage

a.       Special move: he will transport to a “Dark World” version of the track, out of reach of opponents

21.   Hylian Soldier: a royal chariot

a.       Special move: they will spin a ball and chain around themselves

22.   Poe: based on a grave from Dampe’s graveyard

a.       Special move: they will turn invisible and intangible

23.   Sahasrahla: a vehicle based on the Eastern palace’s structures

a.       Special move: he will use the fire rod to set fire to an opponent

24.   Hinox: a minecart full of bombs

a.       Special move: he will toss out bombs behind him

25.   Monkey: other monkeys carrying them

a.       Special move: other monkeys will latch onto opponents and cause them to veer

26.   Marin: the Wind Fish

a.       Special move: she will sing, creating an area of effect around her

27.   Nightmare: a kart made of shadow

a.       Special move: he will copy an opponent’s stats for a short time

28.   The Youth: a kart based on the stone tablets

a.       Special move: a tiny fairy will circle around them and randomly attack those who come close.

29.   Din: a car based on her traveling circus wagon

a.       Special move: she will “change the track’s season” making the track slippery, covering it in leaves, clearing out obstacles, or making things wavy with heat

30.   Onox: based on his dragon form

a.       Special move: he will throw his ball and chain forward, right into a nearby opponent

31.   Maple: her broom

a.       Special move: she will be able to pick up multiple items

32.   Ricky: based on Moosh

a.       Special move: he will punch opponents who get too close

33.   Subrosian: based on features of the underground world

a.       Special move: they will leave behind a volcano that will start to erupt

34.   Pirate Captain: based on his pirate ship

a.       Special move: he will cause pirate Stalchildren to rise, which will be more aggressive than the Stalfos’s Stalchildren

35.   Nayru: Basically a floating time portal

a.       Special move: She will send out a time portal that will revert a racer back to a previous placement in the race.

36.   Ralph: patterned after Queen Ambi

a.       Special move: he will return to a previous placement in the race using a time portal

37.   Veran: a large bat vehicle

a.       Special move: she will possess a racer ahead of her and let them carry her for a while

38.   Vaati: based on his demon form

a.       Special move: he will cause strong winds to blow across the track

39.   Four Links: a kart with seats for all four

a.       Special move: they will split into four separate karts

40.   Ezlo: a kart based on his cap form

a.       Special move: he will be able to shrink an opponent down

41.   Picori: made out of a shoe

a.       Special move: they will be able to shrink down themselves

42.   Oshus & Ciela: based on Oshus’s true form

a.       Special move: He will create a square of light under him that will make him undetectable by projectiles

43.   Linebeck: based on the S.S. Linebeck

a.       Special move: he will hide himself in a box (still moving) protecting himself from attack.

44.   Jolene: based on her own ship

a.       Special move: her kart will sprout a cannon which she can fire several times.

45.   Bellum: a kart based on Bellumbeck’s armor

a.       Special move: it can latch itself to another player and take control of them

46.   Alfonzo: his train engine

a.       Special move: his kart will become a full train and charge forward

47.   Cole & Malladus: Cole riding atop Malladus

a.       Special move: they will pull an opponent’s soul from their body for a short time, leaving the body immobile in the middle of the track

48.   Toon Zelda: a kart based on her phantom

a.       Special move: she will roll forward in the phantom’s ball form

49.   Byrne: a kart based on Anjean

a.       Special move: he will slash at the air, sending two beam slashes forward in different directions

50.   Yuga: a giant floating frame

a.       Special move: he will make characters a two-dimensional painting on the track for a short time

51.   Ravio: a traveling salesman’s cart

a.       Special move: he can pull a random item from his own bag

52.   Princess Hilda: a dark royal steed

a.       Special move: she will be able to become 2-Dimensional, protecting her from harm

53.   Madame Couture: based heavily on her tent

a.       Special move: she will put on a new outfit, giving herself a buff

54.   Lady Maud: her pets

a.       Special move: she will trap an enemy player in a bodysuit, making them incapable of using items.

55.   Yves: a car based on the Lute

a.       Special move: he will burrow underground away from harm for a short time

56.   Young Link: baby Epona

a.       Special move: he will transform into Fierce Deity Link, basically acting as a Starman for a while

57.   Ganondorf: his dark steed

a.       Special move: he will throw a ball of dark energy at an opponent, which the opponent might be able to reflect back at him with an item of their own

58.   Saria: constructed entirely from the trees of her forest

a.       Special move: Mido will appear behind her, protecting her from projectiles from behind

59.   Skull Kid: floating on his own

a.       Special move: he will summon puppets all around the stage that will move toward nearby players

60.   Deku Baba: a pot on wheels

a.       Special move: they will spit Deku Seeds at players and make them dizzy

61.   Deku Scrub: their propellers

a.       Special move: they will be able to skip across water hazards

62.   Malon: the Romani Ranch milk cart

a.       Special move: she will toss out a Cucco, which will then summon a flock to swarm the next player to collide with it

63.   Epona: just running by herself

a.       Special move: she will eat up to three carrots, giving her an added boost of speed

64.   Impa: her horse

a.       Special move: she will leap from her kart and perform a quick shadow slash on the player in the lead

65.   Happy Mask Salesman: based on his mask-covered pack

a.       Special move: he will leave behind a statuette of himself as an obstacle

66.   Darunia: just rolling on his own

a.       Special move: he will smack with his hammer around himself, creating lava spouts on the track

67.   Lizalfos: a Helmasaur

a.       Special move: they will send a Helmasaur charging forward

68.   Ruto: based on Lord Jabu-Jabu

a.       Special move: two puddles will appear on the track, allowing her to drive into one and come out the other.

69.   Sheik: Impa’s horse

a.       Special move: she will play the Song of Storms and cause a storm to rage across the track

70.   Nabooru: based on an Iron Knuckle

a.       Special move: Gerudo guards will surround the leader and send them back to the start of the lap

71.   Twinrova: their brooms

a.       Special move: they will cast ice and fire patches behind them on the track

72.   Beast Ganon: simply charging on his own

a.       Special move: going into a rage and shooting forward uncontrollably

73.   Chuchu: rolling on their own

a.       Special move: they will split into two karts when hit by a projectile

74.   Gekko: riding on top of their turtle companion

a.       Special move: they will leave a large bubble of goop lying on the track

75.   Darmani: rolling on his own

a.       Special move: he will be able to charge a roll and race forward at top speed

76.   Mikau: swimming through the air

a.       Special move: he will spin, creating a damaging shield around himself

77.   Garo: based on architecture of the Stone Tower

a.       Special move: they will create a barrier around themselves and their nearest opponent, not letting any other player or projectile get in, and not letting the opponent escape

78.   Majora: just the mask spinning through the air

a.       Special move: the moon will appear over the track, causing the road to shake and the other players to be slowed by the moon’s gravity

79.   Toon Link: his train engine

a.       Special move: he will use the Sand Wand to create a sand trap on the track to slow opponents down

80.   Tetra: based on her ship

a.       Special move: her catapult will appear and catch an opponent in it, launching them backwards

81.   Bokoblin: based on one of their encampments in Breath of the Wild

a.       Special move: they will blow a horn, and hordes of Bokoblins will race across the track, getting in players’ ways

82.   Toon Ganondorf: based on the Helmaroc King

a.       Special move: the Helmaroc King will grab a racer and pick them up before dropping them

83.   King Daphnes: based on the King of Red Lions

a.       Special move: his fishing line will descend and pull up a bonus item box

84.   Beedle: his stationary bike from Skyward Sword

a.       Special move: he’ll be able to give an opponent an item in exchange for whatever they currently have

85.   Medli: based on Valoo

a.       Special move: a beam of light with shoot from behind her, taking out anyone hit

86.   Makar: on a wooden cart, blown by a Deku Leaf

a.       Special move: he will use a Deku Leaf to blow himself forward

87.   Ilia: Epona

a.       Special move: targets from Link’s Crossbow Training will appear on opponent’s cars, making projectiles more drawn to them

88.   Bulblin: their pigs that they ride

a.       Special move: they will be able to abduct the first opponent they collide with for a short time

89.   King Bulblin and Lord Bulbo: just riding Lord Bulbo

a.       Special move: he will leave a bomb behind him with a wide blast radius

90.   Wolf Link: running on his own

a.       Special move: he will create an area of range and then attack anyone in the range

91.   Midna: riding on a wolf

a.       Special move: She will disappear into shadow, safe from harm

92.   Zant: riding a Wallmaster from his palace

a.       Special move: he will blast bright light and cause the players to spin out

93.   Hero’s Shade: riding a skeletal horse

a.       Special move: he will perform a spin attack around himself

94.   Agitha: riding a giant butterfly

a.       Special move: bugs will swarm nearby opponents

95.   Yeto/Yeta: snowboarding

a.       Special move: icicles will fall across the stage

96.   Twili Midna: riding a wolf

a.       Special move: she will cause an area of twilight across part of the track, making players unable to use items while passing through it

97.   Groose: his loftwing

a.       Special move: the Groosenator will move along a track beside him, shooting anyone who tries to pass him

98.   Fi: flying in her sword form

a.       Special move: she will dance and twirl, giving her heightened speed and protecting her from harm

99.   Ghirahim: flying in his sword form

a.       Special move: he will create a line of daggers and send them flying either forward or backwards

100.                       Mogma: burrowing through the ground

a.       Special move: they will burrow fully underground, allowing them to come back up under an opponent

101.                       Ancient Robot: a minecart with a time stone in it

a.       Special move: they will activate a time stone, creating a bridge across gaps made from their old technology

102.                       Demise: based on The Imprisoned

a.       Special move: he will take his Imprisoned form and stomp across the stage

103.                       Volga: his dragon form

a.       Special move: he will turn into Volvagia and spew fire in a wide circle around him

104.                       Wizzro: pulled along by his shadow demons

a.       Special move: a Wallmaster will grab an opponent and drag them back to behind Wizzro

105.                       Lana: riding her giant light block

a.       Special move: she will create a light barrier behind her on the track, forcing players to go around it

106.                       Cia: carried by Dark Links

a.       Special move: she will create Dark Link racers that will act on their own and can even use items.

107.                       Linkle: her horse

a.       Special move: her kart will grow Pegasus boot wings, allowing her to cross brief gaps

108.                       Tingle: floating on his balloon

a.       Special move: he will be able to float above the track for a short time

109.                       Uncle Rupee: a golden limo

a.       Special move: he will collect rupees based on any damage he does, giving himself buffs

110.                       Pinkle: floating on her own balloon

a.       She will toss out rupees for others to collect and give them bonuses

111.                       Aba: Riding in a large fight cloud with wheels

a.       A bodyguard will appear behind her and actively crash its car into anyone who tries to pass her

112.                       Oinker: a cart built by Oinkers

a.       Special move: They will rope nearby opponents into a fight cloud, stealing their items and leaving them spinning out

113.                       Yamori: A car designed to look like a special type of camouflage.

a.       Special move: He will blend in with his surroundings, making him difficult to aim at.

114.                       Tingle’s Troupe: Buriki reformatted into a car

a.       Special move: they will take a ride on Azusa’s train for a short time

115.                       Segare: his goat steed

a.       Special move: he will get into his armored mech and tromp across the track

116.                       Majiyo: a magical carpet

a.       Special move: she will trap an opponent in a book for a short time

117.                       Wild Zelda: the Master Cycle

a.       Special move: She will be able to freeze opponents in place for a short time (any projectiles that hit them in this state will give them a speed boost on release)

118.                       Wild Link: the Master Cycle

a.       Special move: he will throw remote bombs behind him and detonate them at will

119.                       Old Man Rhoam: his paraglider

a.       Special move: he will be able to eat food and give himself a speed boost

120.                       Ancient Guardian: reformatted to have wheels

a.       Special move: they will target a nearby opponent and fire a devastating beam

121.                       Calamity Ganon: moving by himself

a.       Special move: he will leave malice in a trail across the track behind him

122.                       King Rhoam: a royal chariot

a.       Special move: he will use his broadsword to strike down any racers within range

123.                       Yiga Footsoldier: a cart using their circular weapons as wheels

a.       Special move: they will be able to disguise themselves as another opponent for a while

124.                       Hestu: a kart made of wood

a.       Special move: he will leave behind golden seeds as obstacles, hidden until struck

125.                       Wild Impa: her giant frog

a.       Special move: she will summon shadow clones around her

126.                       Wild Fairies: their fountains

a.       Special move: they will be able to grab an opponent and pull them into their fountain

127.                       Purah & Robbie: a kart made from Sheikah technology

a.       Special move: they will be able to teleport themselves ahead with their Sheikah slate

128.                       Sidon: swimming as if up a waterfall

a.       Special move: he will be able to swim fast across a water hazard

129.                       Mipha: based on Vah Ruta

a.       Special move: she will be able to heal others from status effects

130.                       Yunobo: a tank based on his cannons

a.       Special move: he will fire himself forward from a cannon

131.                       Daruk: based on Vah Rudania

a.       Special move: he will project an impenetrable shield

132.                       Teba, flying on his own

a.       Special move: he will fly up and fire pinpoint arrow shots at his opponents

133.                       Revali: based on Vah Medoh

a.       Special move: he will launch an opponent high into the air with Revali’s Gale

134.                       Riju: walrus-surfing

a.       Special move: she will use the thunder helm to create an area of lightning effect around her

135.                       Master Kohga: his giant spiky ball

a.       Special move: he will send a giant spike ball rolling forward

136.                       Urbosa: based on Vah Naboris

a.       Special move: she will call down a lightning strike on the leader

137.                       Monk Maz Koshia: a kart based on a shrine

a.       Special move: he will grow to gigantic proportions

138.                       Terrako: reformatted to have wheels

a.       Special move: he will extend bladed arms and spin them all around himself

139.                       Sooga: a Yiga chariot

a.       Special move: he will lunge forward with a sudden blade strike

140.                       Astor: pulled along by a blight

a.       Special move: he will summon his magic spheres along the track around him

141.                       Manga Link: based on the Ran manga Link’s parrot companion

a.       Special move: he will use the Triforce of Courage to make his opponents spin out

142.                       Manga Zelda: riding the giant lizard from the Ran manga

a.       Special move: she can trap an opponent inside of a crystal for a short time

143.                       Biri: a royal chariot

a.       Special move: an enormous version of Link’s parrot will carry him over the track

144.                       Ganos: A lion based on his own appearance

a.       Special Move: He will spew obscuring smoke that will spill across the track

145.                       Com: A cycle based on her crystal bird

a.       Special Move: Her bird will emerge and fly around her, rescuing her any time she flies off the track

146.                       Ganon’s Minion: a vehicle for his altar

a.       Special move: Ganon’s arm will burst from his chest, grab an opponent, and throw them backwards

147.                       Gump: based on the boat he and Link used

a.       Special move: he will land quick slashes on several opponents directly around him

148.                       Shemlon: a kart made from his forge

a.       Special move: he will use his forge to craft himself an item without an item box

149.                       TV Link: Catherine

a.       Special move: he will be able to store items in his pouch

150.                       TV Zelda: her own horse

a.       Special move: the Triforce of Wisdom will highlight which item box to pick from

151.                       TV Ganon: a shadowy steed drawn from his jar

a.       Special move: he will summon a random enemy from his jar to patrol the track

152.                       King Harkinian: A royal chariot pulled by horses

a.       Special move: He will cast a projectile spell with the wand of Gamelon and cause a race to spin out

153.                       Sing: her Pegasus

a.       Special move: she will throw out shurikens at opponents around her

154.                       Sleezenose: his cart used in his ruses

a.       Special move: he will steal an item from an opponent

155.                       Doof & Automaton: a kart built from his automaton

a.       Special move: he will summon his automaton to charge ahead of him

156.                       Water Monster: moving on its own

a.       Special move: it will flood the track around it

157.                       Queen Seline: Her horse that she rides in the comic

a.       Special move: She will cast a strong magical blast in eight directions

158.                       Ganon’s Heart: A smoky car based on Demon Ganon

a.       Special move: Demon Ganon will emerge and turn the track completely dark, before his head emerges and strikes down the racer in the lead

159.                       Roam: based on his bird form

a.       Special move: he will turn into a bird and fly over the track

160.                       Riruto: his horse

a.       Special move: he will be able to return to his place in the lineup after taking a bad hit

161.                       Haggis: his horse

a.       Special move: he will fire a Dragon Ball-style energy blast

162.                       Gonza: a horse that he rides

a.       Special move: he will steal an item and send the character spinning

163.                       Kala: the cart driven by her companion

a.       Special move: her companion’s rope will fly out and tie up a racer

164.                       Raska: based on Moldorm

a.       Special move: he will land a strong punch on any opponent who gets too close

165.                       Captain Arjuna: his royal steed

a.       Special move: His Link and Raska will stand on the back of his ride and defend him from projectiles

166.                       Tou: Based on a larger Moldorm

a.       Special move: He will let out an inspiring shout, giving himself a temporary speed boost

167.                       Rouro: flying on his own

a.       Special move: he will summon a hurricane to wreak havoc on the track

168.                       Sir Raven: his horse

a.       Special move: he will plant a seed on the track that will eventually sprout into, basically, a land mine

169.                       Ghanti: based on her wolf form

a.       Special move: she will pull out the silver arrow and fire it in a straight line directly ahead of her, striking with powerful force
