Today, it's time for my . . . probably favorite Zelda enemy? Lizalfos, as Lizalfos, originated in Ocarina of Time, best known for looking like fearsome reptilian warriors in the guide book, while being squeaky, bouncing lizard bois in the game itself. They would go on to reappear throughout most of the series, gaining alternates like the Dinolfos or the winged Aeralfos, and even being reinvented as chameleon creatures in Breath of the Wild.

In the various games, we see the Lizalfos and their cousins jump around, slash with swords, breath fire, fly on draconic wings, use an arm guard to shield and punch, have a club for a tail, camouflage themselves, and stick out their long tongue to grab. Zelda II also featured a similar race called the Gerus that threw maces. I suppose we can consider them too.

Here's the moveset I came up with:

Standard B: Tongue Grab

Based on their Breath of the Wild version, the Lizalfos will stick out its tongue and snag an opponent, pulling them in closer.

Side B: Arm Shield

Its arm shield from Skyward Sword will appear on its arm and it will punch forward, hitting an opponent with a strong punch while also deflecting any attacks.

Up B: Aeralfos

The wings of an Aeralfos will sprout from the Lizalfos' back and it will fly upwards for a short time before gliding back down.

Down B: Camouflage

Using camouflage, the Lizalfos will be able to turn invisible for a short time so long as it remains immobile. The fire breath and the Geru maces could have found their way somewhere into this moveset as well, but fire breath is used by so many other things and Gerus are only loosely connected, so this is what I'm going with.

Final Smash: Volvagia

Not so sure on this one, but my best other idea is a horde attack like the Bokoblins, and they appeared in the Fire Temple where Volvagia was the boss, and they're both fire-breathing reptiles, so, hey, let's have Volvagia come out and wreak some havoc.

Entrance: It will jump down and let out a squeak just like in Ocarina.

Taunts: Up, the Lizalfos will dance around with its sword in the air. Side, the Lizalfos will let out a roar. Down, the Lizalfos will get down on all fours and look around.

Thanks for reading! Next, we cover the heavily armored warriors of Ganon's forces.
