It's not every day you see a character arc transform a Gaston into a Samwise, but when you do, dang is it glorious. Groose is easily one of my favorite characters in the Zelda franchise, alongside a few others already listed, starting out Skyward Sword as a bully with a crush on Zelda, transforming over the course of the game into a dependable and reliable hero in his own right, that Link probably couldn't have saved the day without.

Strictly speaking, we could do an Ilia here and include characters like Cawlin, Stritch, Fledge, and Pipit in the color swaps, since this moveset is mostly being built off of a lot of the early game Skyloft stuff, but at the same time, Groose stands on his own as a character much more than Ilia or any of those other Ordon villagers did. The moves we are pulling from include the swords and slingshots used throughout Skyloft by Link and the other students, the Loftwings that make up a great deal of the experience up there, the sailcloth, the pumpkins seen growing everywhere, and, of course, the Groosinator.

Here's the moveset I came up with:

Side B: Pumpkin Toss

Based on the pumpkins often seen around the sky area, but most specifically on Fledge's minigame, Groose will heft a large pumpkin and throw it upwards in an arc, the pumpkin exploding on impact with another player.

Side B: Spin Dive

Groose's Loftwing will come out and spin forward, much like Link would on his when attacking an enemy in the air.

Up B: Sailcloth

Groose's Loftwing will appear under him, carrying him high into the air before he drops off of it like Link would, pulling out the sailcloth and floating down.

Down B: Big Bomb

He will roll forward one of the large bombs used in the Groosinator, which will explode a few seconds later.

Final Smash: The Groosinator

His Groosinator machine will appear on a track surrounding the stage, crosshairs appearing for the player to launch bombs at the fighters there.

Entrance: He will drift down on a sailcloth from his Loftwing

Taunts: Up, he will brush back his pompadour arrogantly. Side, his Loftwing will come out and he will hug its beak affectionately. Down, he will put on his moping pose from just after Zelda disappeared.

Thanks for reading! Next up, a few odd species reps, mostly from Skyward Sword.
