The kings of Hyrule have been rather spotty in terms of their appearances in the series. Sometimes, they have only been implied to exist offscreen, such as in Ocarina of Time, sometimes they don't seem to exist at all, such as in Twilight Princess. Only three have played significant roles across the series, those including King Harkinian of the cartoon, Daphnes of Wind Waker, and Rhoam of Breath of the Wild.

In Wind Waker, Daphnes Nohansen Hyrule was the last king of Hyrule before it was frozen in time and sunk beneath the sea. He appears in the form of a boat as the King of Red Lions, acting as Link's personal transportation across the world map, only revealing his true form once Hyrule was discovered. As a boat, he came equipped with a sail, a cannon, and a grappling anchor, and he could be warped around the map via tornado. As King of Hyrule he is also heavily implied to wield powerful magic. Thanks to Hyrule Warriors, we can get a good grasp as to how he would play in-game.

Here's the moveset I came up with:

Standard B: Cannon

His ship's cannon will pop up over his shoulder and fire off three missiles in succession.

Side B: Ship's Wake

He will transform into his ship form and rush forward, the wind blowing his sails. He will kick up a heavy wake behind him, causing others to slip up.

Up B: Tornado

A whirlwind will appear around him, carrying him up into the air while spinning before depositing him once again.

Down B: Grappling Anchor

His boat's grappling arm will pop up before him and drop its claw into the ground, damaging fighters on the way down and then coming up with a metal chest that will likewise do damage. (I'm sure his sail spinning trick from HW will fit into this moveset eventually, but strictly speaking, we haven't seen it yet, so . . .)

Final Smash: Final Wish

The triforce will appear and he will place his hand on it, making one last wish upon it. The stage will then be flooded from above as barrier protecting it from the sea is dispersed.

Entrance: He will start out as a boat, before transforming back into his true form.

Taunts: Up, he will raise his sails and adjust them for a moment. Side, he will conduct a tune with the wind waker for a second. Down, he will transform into a ship and doze off. (Also with the talking stone, I suppose he, Tetra, and Toon Link could have a potential secret taunt).

Thanks for reading! Next up, King Rhoam follows his . . . predecessor?
