CANDY KONG
Now, we have finished the television series, and we have SO many characters to cover, from all across the spectrum. There are a few characters here and there that might get a few upgrades to their movesets, mostly being the Donkey Kong cast (one example, I think Klump should absolutely have a Klaptrap gun now). But, there are so many that are so distinct from their game counterparts, I could only make a brand new slot for them. They are:
1. Beezo

Well, this one's been a long time coming. Today, we move onto the characters appearing in the Donkey Kong Country television series. Now, going into this, I wasn't sure whether to include those characters appearing exclusively within this show should go into the Mario Multimedia Roster or the Donkey Kong Roster. I ultimately chose to put them in the Donkey Kong roster, as there's not many of them, many of them are major players in the series, and they fit better with their game counterparts than many of the Mario series characters.
First up, it the only character added who does appear in the games. Candy Kong has appeared in basically every major Donkey Kong game since the beginning, however, in the games, she very rarely has much to do other than stand there and look pretty. The series fleshed her out a lot more and made her an honestly well-written character . . . half the time. The other half, she seemed to only exist to be perpetually mad at Donkey Kong for very flimsy reasons because DRAMA!! In the games, she is often your save file or the referee in sports games. In Donkey Kong 64, she was the primary provider of the team's musical instruments (meaning she can make use of them too). In the show, we see her frequently punch people who make her upset, hit people in the face with a freshly-baked banana pie, ride around in a minecart, and run the machinery for Barrel Works.
Here's the moveset I came up with:
Standard B: Banana Pie
She will pull out a banana pie (probably just recently baked), get angry, and throw it forward, smashing it in the face of anyone in front of her.
Side B: Minecart
She will hop in one of the minecarts from the Donkey Kong series, ride it forward at top speed for a short distance, and come to a screeching halt the moment it hits someone (a common bit of comedy in the series).
Up B: Barrel Lift
Based on Donkey Kong's method of entering his house, which we see Candy use many times, she will step into an open barrel that will be launched upward by a spring before coming to a sudden stop on a magnet.
Down B: Musical Blast
Based on her role as the provider of musical instruments in Donkey Kong 64, she will pull out one of the five instruments and play it for a second, creating an area of effect around her that will damage anyone too close.
Final Smash: Barrel Works
Candy will slap an opponent into a cutscene, wherein they end up on the conveyor belt of Bluster's Barrel Works as Candy works the controls. The character will be smashed and squeezed and knocked around before emerging trapped inside a barrel.
Entrance: She will step out of the shadows looking sultry, sort of a nod to her role at the end of Donkey Kong 64.
Taunts: Up, she will jump in the air and cheer similar to how she does in the series. Side, I feel like her . . . size is too much of a meme not to call attention to it in some tongue-in-cheek way. Down, she'll probably rock out on an instrument for a second.
Thanks for reading! Tomorrow, let's cover . . . him.
