Character Sheet: Dino Riders

DINO RIDERS

Now, we have finished the television series, and we have SO many characters to cover, from all across the spectrum. There are a few characters here and there that might get a few upgrades to their movesets, mostly being the Donkey Kong cast (one example, I think Klump should absolutely have a Klaptrap gun now). Next up, let's cover the Dino Riders from the Super Mario World episode "Born to Ride," the only one-off characters from the Super Mario World series. The Dino Riders are an evil motorcycle gang who become a bad influence on Yoshi and use him to capture Mario and Luigi and hand them over to King Koopa. Basically, this was a "Remember, kids, stay away from street gangs because they're baaaaaad" very-important episode. Across the episode, we see them riding around on their motorcycles and doing stereotypical bad gang member actions such as spray painting a building with graffiti, trashing a business, and throwing a (stink)bomb through a window. They also ambush and tie up the Mario brothers, and go on a high speed chase after them when Yoshi helps them escape, resulting in at least one falling into lava (though not dying, obviously). The members of the gang are Duke, Lulu, and Rockman, and they'll probably be color swaps with Duke up first.

Here's the moveset I came up with:

Standard B: Graffiti

The rider will pull out a can of spray paint and spray it forward, stunning anyone standing too close.

Side B: Motorcycle

Naturally, for a motorcycle gang. The rider will pull out their bike and speed across the stage, basically identical to Wario's similar move.

Up B: Lava Spout

This one's not strongly tied to them, per se, but as one does end up in lava, and lava's a big part of the Super Mario World series, and they're the only one-off character of it . . . sure. A lava spout will appear under the rider, burning their rear and sending them flying upward, Mario 64-style.

Down B: Stink Bomb

The rider will toss out a bomb, which will roll for a bit before exploding and releasing a cloud of stink that will cling to anyone that passes through it.

Final Smash: High Speed Chase

All three members of the gang will come out and hop on their bikes, striking an opponent and taking them into a cutscene in which the three members run the player down on their bikes.

Entrance: The rider will race in, screech to a stop, and step off their bike.

Taunts: Up, the rider will spray paint a smiley face in the air, like Yoshi's. Side, they will pull out their bike and screech around in a figure-8. Down, they will smash a bowl on the ground and make a mess.

Thanks for reading! Now, we finish all of the Mario series characters, and start on the Donkey Kong Country series with Candy Kong!
