Character Sheet: Mighty Plumber

MIGHTY PLUMBER

Now, we have finished the television series, and we have SO many characters to cover, from all across the spectrum. There are a few characters here and there that might get a few upgrades to their movesets, mostly being the Donkey Kong cast (one example, I think Klump should absolutely have a Klaptrap gun now). Today, let's cover Mighty Plumber from the episode "Misadventures of Mighty Plumber." Mighty Plumber is a television character idolized by Mario and Luigi, whom the Koopaling Cheatsy used a magic scepter to pull from the TV so that King Koopa could trick him into fighting the Mario brothers for him. He is a sort of Indiana Jones-style plumbing superhero, and yet another example of the show really trying way too hard to push the brothers' plumbing focus. Across the episode, we see him use a plunger on a rope the way Indiana Jones would use his whip, a wrench to cause a burst of water, a plumber's snake to snag characters, raft on top of a grate, and use a clogged pipe as a battering ram.

Here's the moveset I came up with:

Standard B: Water Burst

He will work his wrench on a pipe and cause it to spray a burst of water out across the stage.

Side B: Grate Surfing

He will surf a short distance across the stage by riding on top of a grate as a wave of water washes up underneath him.

Up B: Plunger Rope

So, you know how Indiana Jones uses his whip to snag onto something and swing across? That. But with a plunger tied to a rope.

Down B: Pipe Battering Ram

Based on the move he and the Mario brothers use to escape Koopa's trap, he will fix a clogged pipe over a running pipe, holding it in place as the water pressure builds and builds until he finally releases it and it fires across the stage like a rocket.

Final Smash: Clog Monster

Based upon the monster he is fighting in his TV show in the beginning of the episode (also possibly taking inspiration from the similar monster played by Patrick Dempsey in a different episode's live-action segment), the monster will rise from a sink and spew its slime everywhere, flooding the stage.

Entrance: He will emerge from the television.

Taunts: Up, he will hold up a plunger and say his catchphrase. Side, he will hold out his plunger like a sword and parry with it. Down, he will fiddle with the scepter that brought him to life.

Thanks for reading! Next up is the criminal Crime Wave Clyde!
