Character Sheet: Wizard King of the West

WIZARD KING OF THE WEST

Now, we have finished the television series, and we have SO many characters to cover, from all across the spectrum. There are a few characters here and there that might get a few upgrades to their movesets, mostly being the Donkey Kong cast (one example, I think Klump should absolutely have a Klaptrap gun now). But, there are so many that are so distinct from their game counterparts, I could only make a brand new slot for them. They are:

Today, let's go over the Wizard King of the West from the episode "A Toadally Magical Adventure." He is a sorcerer that lives in Sky Land who ordered a wand from a wandmaker. When the Koopalings plot to steal it from the messenger, the king commissions the Mario brothers and company to protect it. While waiting for the king to arrive to retrieve it, Toad ends up trying to use it and inadvertently causing a ton of mischief. As the wand is his, everything done with it can be attributed directly to him. This includes: enchanting a tea set, bringing a bunch of pipes to life as giant guardians, bringing bricks to life, growing a Nipper into a giant, making a fence grow into a cage, and enchanting the pipe guardians into a giant hand. Alongside all of that, we also see the king ride a snail, watch events through a crystal ball, and use a teleporting laser to take the wand from Toad's hand.

Here's the moveset I came up with:

Standard B: Pipe Guardian

The most iconic use of the wand, the Wizard King will enchant a bunch of pipes into a guardian and send it out to attack. The Guardian will mostly act of its own accord, but it will be very weak and won't hold up to too much damage.

Side B: Pile Driver Micro-Goomba

He will enchant a block to come to life and stomp forward across the stage for three hops, doing damage on each landing.

Up B: Teleportation Laser

He will use the teleporter he uses in the episode to transport himself to a new location, upward.

Down B: Picket Cage

He will use his wand to create cage out of a picket fence, just like the one Kootie Pie uses to trap Princess Toadstool. The cage will trap a character for a short time.

Final Smash: Pipe Hand

He will use his magic to summon two Pipe Guardians, reshaping them into a giant hand that will grab at a character and then throw them off the stage.

Entrance: He will ride in on his giant snail.

Taunts: Up, he will cause a bunch of pipes to circle around in the air. Side, he will stare into his crystal ball for a second. Down, he will use the wand to fry up some sausages.

Thanks for reading! Next is Mario and Luigi's troublesome ward Junior.
