Character Sheet: Misaki

MISAKI

Now, we have finished the television series, and we have SO many characters to cover, from all across the spectrum. There are a few characters here and there that might get a few upgrades to their movesets, mostly being the Donkey Kong cast (one example, I think Klump should absolutely have a Klaptrap gun now). But, there are so many that are so distinct from their game counterparts, I could only make a brand new slot for them. They are:

Today, let's cover Misaki, from the episode "Karate Koopa." He is a karate master from the land of Sayonara, who agrees to train Mario and Luigi in martial arts in order to rescue Peach and Toad from King Koopa. When they struggle to pick up regular karate, he instead opts to teach them "Plumb-Fu," a martial art built around plumbing stuff (as we have come to expect by this point). Obviously, everything involved in both can be tied to him. These include punches, kicks, jumping kicks, throws, karate chops, and bo staffs, as well as plunger-style bo staffs, nunchaku made of pipes, and a hacksaw.

Here's the moveset I came up with:

Standard B: Karate Chop

Just the basic karate chop, probably with a good amount of power behind it. What else would you expect for a 90s karate master?

Side B: Plunger Staff

He will pull out Mario's plunger staff, stick someone to it, then flip it around with the character still attached.

Up B: Jumping Kick

He will flip into the air, performing a jumping kick that will carry him a short way and do damage at the same time.

Down B: Pipe Nunchaku

He will flip around Luigi's pipe nunchaku, doing several basic tricks and smacking around anyone who gets too close at the same time.

Final Smash: Koopa's Catapult

Based on the trap Koopa used on Misaki and the Mario brothers. Misaki will throw out a net. Anyone caught in it will be sent into a cutscene, finding themselves tied to a boulder inside a catapult, before the catapult is launched and the boulder is flung into the sea.

Entrance: He will drop down from above in a karate pose.

Taunts: Up, he will do more of a crane pose. Side, probably one of those side to side exercises (you know, the ones waterbending pulls from). Down, he will take on a meditative pose.

Thanks for reading! Next up is Waldo the Wizard!
