Character Sheet: Captain Abidab

CAPTAIN ABIDAB

Now, we have finished the television series, and we have SO many characters to cover, from all across the spectrum. There are a few characters here and there that might get a few upgrades to their movesets, mostly being the Donkey Kong cast (one example, I think Klump should absolutely have a Klaptrap gun now). Today, let's cover Captain Abidab, a Captain Ahab parody from the episode "20,000 Koopas Under the Sea." In the episode, a sea monster (later revealed to be a machine built by Koopa) is terrorizing a town called Happy Harbor, and Abidab recruits the Mario brothers and her friends to help man her "Mighty Peapod" ship to help hunt down the monster. In the episode, we see the captain launch a harpoon, supply Mario will a plunger-shooting gun, make use of a rope and bucket, fire a catapult, and submerge beneath the waves in a diving suit. There is also the matter of her ship as well (I guess the monster could count as well).

Here's the moveset I came up with:

Standard B: Harpoon

What would a Captain Ahab parody be without it. She will throw the harpoon with her bare hand, which will fly forward as a short range projectile.

Side B: Plunger Gun

She will fire off a plunger, which will stick to an opponent, giving her a tether using the rope attached to it to draw in the opponent to her, at which point she will quickly punch and toss them.

Up B: Rigging

She will grab a line of rope that would theoretically be hanging from her ship and let it carry her upward into the air.

Down B: Catapult

She will crank the catapult from her ship, pulling it back to charge the attack before releasing it and sending a large cannonball flying across the stage.

Final Smash: The Mighty Peapod vs. the Koopilus

An epic sea battle will take place across the stage, to the detriment of all the players on it. Water will flood the stage, Koopa's false sea monster will thrash about, and the Peapod will fire all its weapons at the beast.

Entrance: She will place her foot on top of a section of her ship, looking heroic.

Taunts: Up, she will hoist her colors. Side, she will sharpen the end of her harpoon, checking to make sure it's sharp. Down, she will adjust her eyepatch in annoyance.

Thanks for reading! Next up is Mugga the Medicine Woman!
