We will start with the co-main character of the Samus & Joey and Metroid EX series, Joey Apronika. Joey started his life on the Planet Liberty, the son of a legendary hero and a brilliant doctor. When his father died, he was left pretty much on his own, as his mother delved herself into her work, going on relief mission after relief mission to other planets and leaving Joey to practically raise himself. When Pirates invaded, Joey threw himself into danger again and again, determined to protect his home the way his dad would, and eventually, Samus agreed to take him on as an apprentice.

Across the series, Joey proves resourceful and tricky, using whatever he finds around him in creative ways, such as using sticks and sparklers, stealing a space pirate's gun, wearing a space pirate's shedded skin to sneak around and then using that same skin as a war flag. His main personal weapons, however, include his father's field knuckles, powerful gauntlets that can throw devastating punches, create energy shields, absorb energy, and had a powerful finishing move called Exodus, which could absorb a ton of energy at once and then reflect it back at the attacker, killing them instantly. He also has wheels on his shoes to get around faster.

Here's the moveset I came up with:

Standard B: Field Knuckle

Joey will punch forward with his gauntlets, the amount of time the attack was held determining how powerful the punch is. A fully charged one is equivalent to Captain Falcon's Falcon Punch or Roy's Flame Blade.

Side B: Wheelie

Joey will speed forward at high speed on his wheelies, striking anyone he passes as he does so.

Up B: Magnetic Field

Joey will project a magnetic field around himself from his field knuckles, keeping himself afloat while making him untouchable for a short time.

Down B: Energy Barrier

He will project a protective shield in front of himself, which will cause any projectiles that strike it to ricochet in a random direction.

Final Smash: Exodus

Joey will charge up, drawing in energy from all over the stage, and then launch it back out in a powerful blast that will instantly KO his opponent.

Entrance: Joey will come careening in on his wheelies, yelling a war cry.

Taunts: Up, Joey will hold up a Space Pirate skin as a flag and wave it around. Side, Joey will light up sparklers and wave them around. Down, Joey will slip on his wheelies and fall on his butt.

Kirby Hat: Joey's hair.

Kart: Based on Samus's ship from the comic.

Special Move: He will project an energy shield that will send oncoming projectiles careening off in a different direction.

Spirit Battle: On Junk Quixote, with Samus and Diesel as backup.

Victory Screen: Joey will pump his knuckles together and jump excitedly into the air.

Losing Screen: Joey will slump to the ground, drained of his life force.

Color Swaps: His normal green colors, a red jumpsuit, a blue jumpsuit, a pink jumpsuit, a yellow jumpsuit, a white jumpsuit, wearing the Space Pirate skin, and his adult form from the epilogue.

Thanks for reading! Next up, one of Samus's companions from Magazine Z!
