MISCELLANEOUS METROID GAMES

And now, let's finish off the game section with everything else not covered by what all came before. First up, Metroid has a notable penchant for early release game demos, such as First Hunt for Metroid Prime Hunters, Blast Ball for Federation Force, and demos for Echoes, Corruption, and Dread. It also has a long history of cancelled, pitched, or prototype games that never saw the sun, including Metroid II DX, Metroid 64, Metaforce, Metroid 1.5, Project Valkyrie, Metroid Tactics, and so on.

Then we have small games like the Metroid Pocket Puzzle, a flash game based on Metroid Prime, a trivia quiz, a wallpaper game available for Windows and Internet Explorer called Metroid Buster, and a flash game based on Metroid Prime 3: Corruption called Special Mission.

From there, Samus and other Metroid-themed items have cropped up for cameos across Nintendo's library, such as her sleeping in the bed in Super Mario RPG, minigames in the Wario Ware series, attractions in Nintendo Land, and so on. And of course, we have Super Smash Bros., with Samus appearing alone in the first game, with a stage generally based on Planet Zebes. The second game would keep only her, but with a Brinstar stage and a stage called Brinstar Depths featuring Kraid. The third game introduced the option of her being able to remove her suit and play as Zero Suit Samus, with a stage based on Norfair and Frigate Orpheon from Prime, and both Ridley and Meta Ridley as bosses. The fourth game kept only the two versions of Samus (again), with a stage based on Other M's Pyrosphere, featuring Ridley's clone as a stage hazard. Finally, in Ultimate, both Ridley and Dark Samus joined the roster, albeit with no new stages to speak of.

And that's pretty much it! Here's what we've got so far:
