QUAD
And now, we have another set of characters, this time hailing from the Prime series of games. You'd think a series like Metroid wouldn't have that many, but we're pretty close to fifty now. Our new ones include:
1. Federation Mech
2. Rundas
3. Ghor
4. Gandrayda
5. Noxus
6. Sylux
7. Spire
8. Trace
9. Kanden
10. Weavel
11. U-Mos
12. Aurora Unit
13. Dark Samus
14. Meta Ridley
15. Metroid Prime
16. Emperor Ing
17. Gorea
18. Chozo Ghost
19. Steambot
20. Ing
21. Liquid Phazon
22. Quad
23. Phazon Elite
24. Berserker Lord
25. Labor Golem
Today, we come to a specific enemy type found in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, security drones built by the Luminoth to guard the Sanctuary Fortress which ended up going haywire when the Ing took over. A large boss version of these stood as the boss of the area, called Quadraxis.
Between the standard enemies and the boss, these machines liked to spin around really, really fast, split their body and head into two separate segments, shoot lasers and missiles, project shields, and stomp to create shockwaves.
Here's the moveset I came up with:
Standard B: Vortex
Since it was their most iconic move, the Quad will start spinning rapidly like a top, functioning similarly to Zelda's or Meta Knight's.
Side B: Missile
The Quad will fire a missile from its face as a projectile.
Up B: Split
The Quad will be able to split itself into two parts, moving about on their own. Pressing it again will reconnect them.
Down B: Stomp
The Quad will raise one of its legs and stomp downward, creating a small shockwave.
Final Smash: Quadraxis
The Quad will grow up to full Quadraxis size and stomp around the stage, attacking.
Entrance: It will detect enemies and come to life.
Taunts: Up, its head will detach and float for a second. Side, it will tuck its legs in and spin for a second. Down, it will lower itself up and down in an almost cute way.
Kirby Hat: He will have four little legs sticking out of his sides.
Kart: Their lower body spinning really fast.
Special Move: Its head will detach, making it immune to damage the body takes.
Spirit Battle: A giant battle, accompanied by two smaller ones, on Planet Aether.
Victory Screen: It will stand victoriously, then go back to its station.
Losing Screen: It will spark and break down.
Color Swaps: It's normal colors, a more gold color, a more silver color, a more gray color, a more white color, a red color, a blue color, and an all-black color.
Thanks for reading! Next up, Space Pirates on glowing blue steroids.
