MIDBUS
Today, we begin our newcomers. I did say going into this that the RPGs would likely be the last shot for many of the frequent enemies you wouldn't expect to see on a Smash roster, but what I didn't expect was that the RPGs would actually come through for a lot of them. At least one I thought was never going to happen in a million, billion years. But here we are. The first ten are all Mario regulars who finally took the step up to playable. The other sixteen are originals to the Mario & Luigi games (or Origami King) specifically.

So, apparently in most other languages, this guys names is something along the lines of Mettaboss and the English version just dumbified it. I mean, it's okay I guess. He's still a cool character (not just because of his final fate), it just would have been cooler if that was the name I had grown up knowing. Ah, well. Midbus is a giant pig monster who serves Fawful in Bowser's Inside Story as Fawful's general and a heavyweight who can go toe-to-toe with Bowser in terms of physical strength. Obviously you have a few battles with him across the game, and plenty to work with from those.
In his main form, he can throw a gigantic punch like Bowser's, roll up into a ball similar to how Bowser does, leap into the air and belly flop on top of you, swing around a heavy iron ball, and puff out his stomach to protect himself. In his Blizzard form, the final form you fight him in, he takes on a more icy personal, throwing snowballs, creating snowmen to fight you, climbing up walls, divebombing down on top of you, and rolling up into a snowball.
Here's the moveset I came up with:
Standard B: Giant Punch/Snow Punch
He will function on a similar level to Joker, in that he will have just his base form, which is slightly weaker, then at a certain point he can power up into his Blizzard Form which gain ice and snow properties. His standard B will just have him pull back and throw a giant punch, but in Blizzard Form, a snowman will appear in front of him and he will punch the snowman's head off throwing it as a projectile.
Side B: Ball Roll/Snowball
In his standard form, he will roll up into a ball and roll around the stage. In Blizzard Form, he will roll up into a giant snowball, doing the same but with much more damage.
Up B: Belly Flop/Divebomb
In his regular form, he will leap up into the air and come down on his belly, bouncing up again if he lands just right. In his Blizzard Form, he will climb and ice wall created under his hands and feet and then launch himself off in a divebomb maneuver.
Down B: Hammer Toss/Snowball Throw
In his regular form, this will be the move where he swings a giant steel ball around himself. In his Blizzard form, the ball is replaced with a snowball that he will spin and throw.
Final Smash: Blizzard
His blizzard machine from his final battle will appear on the stage, whipping up a terrible blizzard and freezing everyone in sight in the same way that he is ultimately frozen.
Entrance: He will simply tromp on all matter-of-factly the way he does in-game
Taunts: Up, he will look up to the sky and snort angry. Side, he will pound his fists together angrily, steam coming from his ears. Down, he will crouch down and stretch his back.
Thanks for reading! Next up, we will cover the one enemy-type character in the game.
