MASSIF BROS.
Today, we begin our newcomers. I did say going into this that the RPGs would likely be the last shot for many of the frequent enemies you wouldn't expect to see on a Smash roster, but what I didn't expect was that the RPGs would actually come through for a lot of them. At least one I thought was never going to happen in a million, billion years. But here we are. The first ten are all Mario regulars who finally took the step up to playable. The other sixteen are originals to the Mario & Luigi games (or Origami King) specifically.
1. Toadsworth
2. Captain Toad
3. Buzzy Beetle
4. King Bob-Omb
5. Pokey
6. Ninji
7. Thwomp
8. Whomp
9. Mechakoopa
10. Nabbit
11. Mario & Luigi
12. Prince Peasley
13. Prince Dreambert
14. Olivia
15. King Olly
16. Broque Monsieur
17. Massif Bros.
18. Cackletta
19. Fawful
20. Princess Shroob
21. The Dark Star
22. Antasma
23. Midbus
24. Shroob

Here's another odd one, though one I don't get irritated trying to read, so, hey, they're fun. The Massif Bros. are a pair of . . . sausages? . . . obsessed with beefing up, and who agree to guide Mario and Luigi up Pi'illo Island's Mount Pajamaja in Dream Team. When you first meet them, you have to beat the elder brother and his crew in combat before they will agree to guide you. In those battles, his minions will punch a rock out of the air toward you, charge at you, bounce across the top of smaller minions called Hooraws, and heal. After them, Big Massif will fight you, using moves similar to those of his minions, but can also increase his rage if the battle goes on too long. Later on the climb up the mountain, he and his brother work together, learning the spin jump and the spin drill along with the Mario bros. All in all, I'd say we have quite a bit to work with.
Here's the moveset I came up with:
Standard B: Block Punch
A block will fall out of the air and the Massif Bros. will punch it, sending it forward as a projectile.
Side B: Spin Drill
The brothers will stack on top of each other and then drill sideways rapidly, just like the Spin Drill move as seen in the game.
Up B: Hooraws
Hooraws will appear underneath them and bounce them upward, as seen in Big Massif's and Thunder Sass's battles.
Down B: Beef Up
This will be kind of a combo of the Bros and their squad's healing moves and the rage meter, in that the Bros will use this move to heal themselves and get a boost to their stats.
Final Smash: Mount Pajamaja OR Beef Off
Two strong possibilities here. Either the dreamy version of Mount Pajamaja will come to life and attack, or the brothers will call in their crew: Sorry Fist, Heavy Zest, Thunder Sass, and Beef Cloud; to launch an all-out attack.
Entrance: They will punch through a rock and shout BEEF!
Taunts: All will be a version of them flexing and shouting "BEEF!" Up will be an overhead flex, Side will be the bicep display flew, and Down will be a crunching ab flex.
Thanks for reading! Next up, we'll start our villains off with Cackletta.
