OLIVIA
Today, we begin our newcomers. I did say going into this that the RPGs would likely be the last shot for many of the frequent enemies you wouldn't expect to see on a Smash roster, but what I didn't expect was that the RPGs would actually come through for a lot of them. At least one I thought was never going to happen in a million, billion years. But here we are. The first ten are all Mario regulars who finally took the step up to playable. The other sixteen are originals to the Mario & Luigi games (or Origami King) specifically.

As with Huey and Kersti, Olivia joins us, more or less, as a gimmick rep for Origami King. Although unlike Huey and Kersti, she does have a few distinct battle moves of her own to consider as well. On top of that, she has a brother with a few abilities we might be able to pull from as well. Let's get into it all, shall we?
So, first up, we have the gimmick stuff. Specifically, in the game, making use of origami power, Mario carries around a bag of confetti with which he repairs holes in the world, and he can extend his 100-fold arms to punch or grab things with them. Olivia herself can also transform into each of the four Vellumentals and use their elemental attacks (definite Final Smash fodder). Finally, we have her brother, King Olly, who I felt works best as an echo to his sister, and thus, any of his moves might be considered as well. First up, is the ability to fold his opponents either into shapes they can't fight him with, or into his own personal origami minions. He can also grow gigantic and attack you by folding his own hundred-fold arms into hammers or swords. He can also toss around paper airplanes. I think that's enough.
Here's her moveset:
Standard B: Fold
Given the folding nature of Origami, I felt this was the logical main attack. It will function similarly to Yoshi's Egg Lay attack, in that it will temporarily trap them in a vulnerable state, before they pop out of it again. This vulnerable state will be the square shape Bowser was folded into by Olly.
Side B: 100-Fold Fist
Basically, she'll extend her arms out to ridiculous lengths, clasp her hands together into a fist, and then pound on an enemy with several hits, mirroring the similar Mario move.
Up B: Paper Airplane
Olivia will fold herself into a Paper Airplane and then float up for a bit before coming back down. I imagine it will function similarly to Steve's Elytra move.
Down B: Confetti
She will pull out her confetti bag and toss a burst of confetti pieces into the air, directly into an opponent's face.
Final Smash: Vellumental Rage
First she will split into four copies of herself, with each one unfolding and then refolding into one of the four Vellumentals. The four Vellumentals will then rage across the stage for a few seconds or so.
Entrance: A Smash letter lying on the ground will unfold and then refold itself into Olivia.
Taunts: Up, she will spin up into the air with a burst of confetti. Side, she will wear a paper-macho head and move back . Down, she will fall to the ground in a fit of giggles.
Thanks for reading! Next up, we'll cover her slightly more evil brother, King Olly.
