Character Sheet: King Olly

 KING OLLY

Today, we begin our newcomers. I did say going into this that the RPGs would likely be the last shot for many of the frequent enemies you wouldn't expect to see on a Smash roster, but what I didn't expect was that the RPGs would actually come through for a lot of them. At least one I thought was never going to happen in a million, billion years. But here we are. The first ten are all Mario regulars who finally took the step up to playable. The other sixteen are originals to the Mario & Luigi games (or Origami King) specifically.

Today, let's cover King Olly, the main villain of Paper Mario: The Origami King. As he and his sister, your companion Olivia, function more or less on the same basic premise and have largely the same abilities, I have elected to make Olly an echo of Olivia. I imagine he would be a bit harder hitting, given his more evil demeanor, and his final smash will defer a bit, but as far as the rest, he will function in much the same way.

Here's his moveset:

Standard B: Fold

This is more specifically based on him, so, of course, he keeps it.

Side B: 100-Fold Fist

In my opinion, his fists should become hammers to match his boss fight.

Up B: Paper Airplane

Pretty standard here.

Down B: Confetti

Also standard. I think he might use the ribbons in some way, though that might just be in his and Olivia's grabs.

Final Smash: Giant Olly OR Office Supplies

Two schools of thought here. Either we will recreate the final phase of his battle, during which he grows to gigantic size and attacks the stage, OR he will call in his Office Supply minions: Stapler, Scissors, Hole Punch, Rubber Band, Colored Pencils, and Tape; to wreak havoc on the stage similar to Olivia's with the Vellumental beasts.

Entrance: A Smash letter lying on the ground will unfold and then refold itself into King Olly.

Taunts: Up, he will flick his paper combover. Side, he will pull out a piece of paper and fold it into a certain shape. Down, he will fold himself up into an unassuming form, or maybe the Shy Guy he first appeared as.
