Character Sheet: Antasma

 ANTASMA

Today, we begin our newcomers. I did say going into this that the RPGs would likely be the last shot for many of the frequent enemies you wouldn't expect to see on a Smash roster, but what I didn't expect was that the RPGs would actually come through for a lot of them. At least one I thought was never going to happen in a million, billion years. But here we are. The first ten are all Mario regulars who finally took the step up to playable. The other sixteen are originals to the Mario & Luigi games (or Origami King) specifically.

Today, let's check out our final main villain of the Mario & Luigi series, the nightmarish vampire demon who put the Pi'illo people into a deep sleep that lasted for centuries. He and Bowser gang up to take over both the real world and the dream world, and he has all sorts of nightmare powers we can work with. Let's get started. So, to start off, Antasma has a nice big pair of claws to work with, he can take on a pillow form, and he can turn into a swarm of bats. He can create Dreamy Marios to serve him, similar to the Dreamy Luigis. He can create fire and smoke and open up chasms. He and Bowser work together to make dreambeats to put others to sleep. He can create duplicates of himself, throw balls of energy, create a circle of spikes around himself, and summon a dark shield. Definitely quite a bit to work with.

Here's the moveset I came up with:

Standard B: Dreambeats

One of the main things he is known for, Antasma's main special will feature him setting off some dreambeats which will then put anyone within the radius displayed around him visibly to sleep.

Side B: Spike Circle

He can also summon up a circle of spikes around himself, which will offer him some protection by planting hazards in front of him for enemies to walk into

Up B: Swarm of Bats

His main exit and entrance will of course feature him transforming into a swarm of bats and flying upward. If the bats fly into anyone, they will do a bit of poison damage.

Down B: Dark Shield

This is based on the Dark Shield he summons during his battles. We have had a few shield down specials in this series now, but I guess that's just part of the Mario & Luigi mechanics.

Final Smash: Dreamy Bowser

For his final smash, he will summon up the technicolor Dreamy Bowser who will then rampage around the stage in his gigantic form.

Entrance: He'll fly in as a bat.

Taunts: Up, he will laugh maniacally while lightning strikes in the background. Side, he will spread himself out as bats and come back together. Down, he will transform into his pillow form and rest a while.

Thanks for reading! Next up, we'll cover our one single supporting villain this time around, Midbus!
