Today, we will be covering the Gohma, a race of enemies generally used as an early-game boss throughout most of the series. Gohma has appeared in many forms throughout the series, generally as a giant crab or spider (and once a giant centipede) with a single large eye as its main weak point, often capable of shooting lasers from it, and is generally responsible for being a nuisance to beings of great power, such as the Great Deku Tree and Valoo the Dragon.

Obviously, the big eye laser is a major part of the moveset to consider. It will also crawl around on the ceiling, bite with its big mandibles, live in lava, and it has been known to drop whole bunches of its eggs which will then hatch into baby Gohmas. Isn't that fun? I'm sure arachnophobes just love this thing. And of course, it did end up killing the Great Deku Tree, so it's definitely not something to take lightly.

Here's the moveset I came up with:

Standard B: Bite

We'll start off the Gohma's moveset with a pretty basic bite function, similar to its Wind Waker appearance. It will lunge forward and snap an opponent up in its mandibles, chewing them up similar to Wario.

Side B: Eye Laser

Its first and most iconic move, it will fire a stream of laser from its eye that it can then sweep around in different directions.

Up B: Webbing

Kind of stealing from the Skulltulas, but it fits in the wall-climbing ability when you don't have a sure wall to work with. The Gohma will shoot a web up and get pulled by it. If it attaches to a ceiling, the Gohma will be able to cling to the ceiling for a short time.

Down B: Gohma Eggs

It will drop a bundle of eggs. These eggs can be damaged, but if untouched for a short time, will hatch and proceed to swarm and attack nearby players.

Final Smash: Lava Gohma

Based on the boss from Wind Waker specifically, the Gohma will drop off the stage as a lava spume will open where it was standing, the more centipede-like Gohma from that game bursting out and proceeding to attack the stage.

Entrance: It will descend from the ceiling.

Taunts: Up, the Gohma will lift up, its one eye looking around. Side, the Gohma will scuttle back and forth. Down, the Gohma will flip over with its legs curled.

Thanks for reading! Next up, another frequent boss of the Zelda series.
